Alliance Flight Path to Ratchet [Archive] - Unofficial World of Warcraft Forums

So, I'm leveling an alliance toon. Currently level 22. Since I have no idea about the alliance quests, (nor do I really care to take the time to learn them) I am grinding in my own well known horde locations....which means the barrens and Stontalon Mtns. I figured I could use the ratchet FP to get around the barrens, but apparently the only FP to ratchet for the alliance is in Azhara. Is that true? Whats another easy way to get to southern barrens?

Please help....soon! My little druids legs are getting weak!

i have a FP for ratchet...im confused...what do you need?

I know. I looked that map over 10000 times. I don't see how I can get to ratchet from Ashenvale without the run.

I have the flight path at ratchet. I have the FP at Astranaar. But there isn't a connecting path.

Is that because the Astranaar fp is those hippogriff things the elves fly and the one at ratchet is 'proper' alliance griffins? I don't think they link up?

I think the flight from ratchet to Astranaar is not direct, so even if you have those 2, you still need at least 1 in between somewhere.

The Azshara one is easy to get even for a low level, because it's just across the bridge (east out of Ashenvale). You should be able to follow the coast south and get Theramore without too much trouble. If you know your way around StoneTalon and Charred Vale area...that will get you the StoneTalon FP and Nijel's Point (in Desolace) From Theramore, you can boat to Menethil, then take the other boat over to Auberdine (in Darkshore) and that will get you another FP there.

I think Ratchet to Astranaar has a connecting FP in Nijel's or Azshara (so having either one of those will let you make that trip).

Thanks a ton for the info. I grabbed the FP in Feralas so now (although extremely long) I do have a FP to Ratcet from Auberdine.

I'll have to go running to get the one In azhara.

I'm not sure how many of you all have been in So. Barrens as alliance. One of the BEST grinding spots is against the Bael'dun miners in southern barrens. That was where I was GOING to grind last night. Well, it turns out they are friendly to IF, so no such luck there. I did end up grinding right next to them though. SO along come to horde, bout about level 25 (3 levels above me) and they attack, so I run off. They follow me to the excavators (which dont attack me) and they get destroyed. I was exsatic!
