Time for 60---->70 [Archive] - Unofficial World of Warcraft Forums

2 questions:

1. How many time will take 60 to 70 in percentage of the time taken by 1 to 60?

2. When TBC will be released (16th), we can have immediately the possibility to enter through dark portal and start questing, etc... or some event there will be?

I just read that the Dark Portal will be opened at midnight january the 16th.

I could see some naxx equipped guilds being disgruntled at the phat lewtz in tbc and setting up at the portal 2 shotting anyone who wanted in...

But that might be bannable, detrimental to other players experience? Not sure.

Actually, i dont think Blizz would ban for that short of a behavior. But, why do you expect Nazz guilds to do that? I am in a Naxx guild, and that is NOT what we are going to do. Just because we have some high gear doent mean that we will resort to acting like kids to get our way. Rather, we are going to try to be the first ones on the server to try to reach 70. Therefore, no time for harassing anyone. And this is exactly how i expect other Naxx guilds to behave like.

Hope this makes you less paranoid.

This is normal pvp...Not sure why you think it would be bannable...

I see the likelihood that a given faction would control the portal for awhile, preventing the other faction from entering...

Why would me saying "i could see" make me paranoid? I'm not saying I am expecting it I'm saying it is very possible.

Why would I expect Naxx type guilds to do that? From the enormous amount of complaints that I have heard from people in game and various forums about "noobs" having access to great gear in TBC. I have heard a lot of people who are in naxx say that they don't think its fair. Much like the recent PvP change in regards to all the people who put in time to obtain GM and HW.

Will it happen? I have no idea, but if it does I won't be surprised. If it does not I really won't be surprised either. But if there is a lot of griefing going on it won't be people decked out in tier0.

Most ppl in naxx guilds have better things to do with there time.

Probably wouldn't be, and I expect some of this to happen. Other posts here suggest otherwise. I guess its wait and see. The last two nights the portal has been mostly controlled by a couple of bored raiding guilds. this might change when the portal actually opens, but who knows.

I agree that is is prolly more likely that once the portal opens, the guilds will locate themselves inside, doing the quests and such...

It was similar on my server but not really for that long. The first few hours loads of horde flagged pvp and then sat there AOEing as the demons ran through, this caused some moaning by various alliance characters. But now they are bored and any level 50 can run up there tag a mob and let the npc's kill it to complete the tabard quest.
