I need help. I need a mod, or info on how to mod something myself.
What I want to do is remove the on-mouse-over thing from chat frames, and make them sort of "hollow", so I can click objects through them. So, they basically only exist as text overlaying the screen.
I also want to be able to adjust the align of the text. For instance, if I have a chat frame on the right of my screen, I want the justification or align of the text to be 'right'.
As for the controls, a simple UI to control them would be nice. I'd prefer if there were no tabs on the windows.

Can this be done? If it can, are there any current mods that do it?

Okay, I've figured out how to do almost everything I want. What I need to know now is how to change the justification of a specific chat window.

I think you'll have to download a specific addon to be able to justify the text. I know Prat can do this so I would imagine CHATMod could as well. However they are very big addons just for that one feature.

Prat does and ChatMOD does not. I didn't like either anyway.
I tried looking through them to figure out how they did it, and my eyes just got too buggy while looking at all the text (I needed sleep), so I decided to just ask here.
Nevermind, I'll be looking into it myself.

you can change the size fairly easily, but there is a minimum size they can be.

Hover over the chat tab and right click it. A list of options will pop up. Choose unlock window. You can then drag the edges to resize it, and drag the tab to reposition it.

Prat will let you over-ride the stock WoW minimum size. Prat is still good for the feature, just disable all other modules in the program. Yes the initial load will still be big, but after it should be small.

You can even delete all the other plugins for Prat, aslong as you have the main Prat folder and the plugin that you want to keep (so in this case maybe just the text-resize one).
