UI For Mages

Is there a good UI out there for Mages to use. There must be one out there better then the blizzard UI

Looks at Eroc's post count, looks at Twoflower's post count, remembers all the help Twoflower has given many, many people in the past, ponders on Eroc's comments. Wonders why Eroc even bothered posting if he is going to post stupid crap like that without even bothering to answer the OP's post?!?!

@ Tomah - I wouldn't say there are many mage UI's as such, you really need to find a UI you like and customize it for use with a mage. UI's are such a personal thing that it's difficult to give suggestions, hence Twoflowers comment. However, one that springs to mind is Photek's UI which can be googled for.

Ok, when I played my warlock I loved Necrosis and wondered if there is similar to it for mages. And there is. It is called Arcanum and based on the Necrosis code.

It has a circular main button and satealite buttons with flyout menues for all kinds of spells, especially ones you dont need a lot..like portals. What makes it better than Necrosis: It also adds a menue especially for your own professions

No idea if it is updated yet, but that one was nice while I used it.

These days I use TrinityBars with "Hover on mouseover" areas to hide my portals and utility buttons for drink, food and decursing etc...

Tomah, since there are so many possible addons for so many different tasks, you have to be more specific. tell us exactly what you want, and we can help you exactly. My above post was realy the best answer i can give to such a general question.

Ok, I responded in kind to your post. Twoflower has given a lot of help to a lot of people in the past (myself included) and then an unknown (who I have never seen post) comes along and posts a totally out of order comment. Twoflowers comment wasn't particularly helpful but it certainly didn't warrant your response.

I certainly didn't insult your post count either, I used it as a basis of the possible help that either of you could have given.

Now before you jump in the deep end and I'm not infering you have, but I could pay $1.50 and get myself a nice Bronze Pal title for a month and be seen to be helping the site out monetarily.

As was mentioned before I also use Trinity Bars for my buttons, can make them squares, round, diamonds.

For the toon frames I use Perl Classic.

Forget Arcanum, it's still beta, rarely updated and filled with bug.
