Seems to me blizzard has overtime has made engineering kind of useless/boring. Anyone know anything about new stuff in BC?
I am curious to see if i should leave engineering and do something else.

There will be new stuff. How usefull it will be is yet to be determined.
Current Eng. stuff is pretty much useless except for battlegrounds (grenades) which require lots of time farming for mats, or buying gold and buying the mats at the AH, because if you PvP all the time, you generally dont' make money.

I have 300 Goblin Engineering, and the only items I ever use are my Jumpercables and Transporter. I'm dumping Engineering for a gathering skill ASAP (undetermined if it will be mining or skinning - already have herbing @300).

tell your guild to start reading the details of the itemz -> "Requires Engineering (330)"

Cenarion Expedition rep lets you make a green smoke flare.
I can't think of anything else.

One of my guildmates (theguild engineer) has made a ton of stuff since TBC launched. His newest gadget is a flame turret....does a ton of damage!
He still has a blast with engineering....whether it be using his shrink ray at every available time...( I don't think we've encountered a boss that hasn't been shrunk...) to using his rocket helm....
We 3 manned up to the second boss....one of the new TBC instances. Our server went down and we lost our priest and a rogue. We were left with me (mage), a fury warrior, and a rogue (guild engineer). Most of the pulls were easy with a sap/sheep then dps the third mob. But it got tricky when we couldn't sap due to hounds being too close. We succesfully took on 5 mobs at once without a sap with a combo of all his engineering trinkets and a sheep.
Even if engineering isn't "useful," it's a ton of fun. I like making nifty little toys.
engineering is very useful, both of my 60's are engineers goblin and gnomish, and TBC engineering is really nice either...
might be a silly question, can anyone tell me where the master engineer trainer is in Outland?

There's a new trinket that gives a lot of stamina and lets you sheep your target. That's what I'm really looking forward to, personally.

If it's a silly question, then colour me silly, as I want to know this too.
BTW, you can get a 20 slot engineering bag for 14g in the Dranei temple in the north west of Hellfire, perfect for the bank.
Edit:
Found this on a site called "crafter's tome":
Hellfire Peninsula: Lebowski (Burning Crusade)
Alliance Grand Master Engineer, located outside the Armory of Honor Hold, on the right hand side as you enter.
Zangarmarsh: Mack Diver (Burning Crusade)
Grand Master Engineer located at Zabra'jin, just outside the fence on the southeast side of town, standing under the bridge that leads into town.
Hope this helps.
