I am new (other than the 10-day guest pass I got a few months back) to Warcraft and God I am confused I don't know what to do...

#1: I get this stupid message even though the exact same user/password stuff works on the WorldOfWarcraft.com site, yet when I login on the game it won't work. Before I got the 2.0.5 patch it was logging in fine:

#2: My "Billing Information" is set to bill my credit card monthly. Well, when I go to take it off it says "Why are you quitting World of Warcraft?" It's like... uhh, I'm not quitting WoW (hell I can't even start it) all I want to do is make sure that it never bills me and that I can use game cards instead of having it bill my credit card.


Any help would be extremely appreciated, I know almost nothing about WoW and before I can even start to understand it I'm having these issues.

Suggest you give Blizzard tech support a ring. If, you're not typing it in incorrectly, due to active capslock or something, then it ought to work.

Nah, I've ruled out the obvious, plus I'm not that stupid. :P

It was working fine earlier when I downloaded patch after patch, then I get to 2.0.5 and go to login and it gives me that message. I'm writing to Blizzard right now.

maybe you downloaded the european patch (you mentioned you go to the worldofwarcraft.com site not the wow-europe.com site so i assume you are an US player) which would make your client try to connect to the EU servers, where your account isnt active
Although im not sure you get that message if you try to connect to the wrong region though, but maybe rather a "no such account" message ?

can't you see the screenshot? It's the basic 'account information you have entered is not valid blah blah etc etc'

Does your login information work on the account website?
If it does then I would contact the tech support or summin.

There are 2 issues. The first is that snowie can't log onto the game after installing 2.0.5 it either doesn't like the username or password. snowie is still able to log on and view the billing account via the website though so the username and password must be right

The second is that snowie wants to remove his/her credit card billing completely so Blizz don't try to bill it, but it just asks why he wants to quit WoW

snowie I think you will have to speak to Blizz Tech Support, but with the second one I know you can select payment types so is it possible to click on Game Card and does this wipe out the credit card details?

There are 2 issues.

There is one more issue. Snowy is a mod, trying to help out the OP, Purgal. Snowy has no issues, they're all Purgal's issues.
