I just got an interview appointment for a job that pays US$5.00 more an hour than I'm making now. To some people, five bucks an hour may not seem like much, but for me that's a 50% pay raise.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Tan. I've already got the interview clothes chosen in my head, now I just need to get out of here, pull them off of the hangers and move it out of the cats' reach, and get there on time.
They've had my resume for about four months, but now they're hiring...me if everything goes right.

$5 more an hour is huge!
Thats roughly (if you work 40 hours a week) $10,000 more per year.
Good luck man, and remember your usge of "yes" instead of "yea", and your "Sir" and "Ma'am!"

Hey, just because I'm an ***hole metalhead outside of the workplace doesn't mean I don't know how or when I need to behave. =) I'm an interview pro. I did manage to get hired at Texas Instruments with a few of my tats visible during the interview.

Lol. Did you get hired for being able to impress your interviewer by making "I love you" run across a TI-83 screen then split down teh middle, bounce off the walls then come back together?
Eh, it worked on the girls back in 6th grade :)

Nope...none of that fancy calculator 1337 speak. I answered his questions honestly, and then told him that "I think I could do the job more effeciently than an engineer and better than anyone else with a lack of experience in this industry."
