I'm really interested in playing this game, and I was just wondering what the method of paying would be for the monthly fee.

You can use a credit card subscription (Pick your time duration, cheaper the bigger the block you buy). Alternatively you can walk into Dick Smiths or GPStore or most retailers and pickup a game-time card, which costs between NZ$30 and NZ$40 for 60 days of accesss.

nope.

i prefer game cards, anyway, unless you plan to play less than 2 months.

You DO need a credit card to sign up for the game though....

BTW - What is a kiwi?

A kiwi can either be a small greenish fruit, a bird, or a New Zealander. Silly uncultured American.

Once I reach work I will post a picture of a kiwi.

/sigh...Is that a derogatory term?

Which term; silly, uncultured, American, or Kiwi?

And I don't believe Kiwi is, but JuSmurf, Tanitha, AnA, and maybe KrazyKiwi (if my assumption is correct) could answer better than I could.

I wonder why you think he is uncultured....How is a kiwi part of a society culture?

It is part of nature...But, I'm sure you have not memorized all parts of nature in all parts of the globe, have you?

Umm...I was joking with Stigg, hence the goofy smiley. Now, on to your next questions.

I have no idea how a kiwi (which kiwi are you referring to btw; the fruit, bird, or New Zealander) could be part of a society's culture, unless of course it's a common food (either the fruit or the bird) or a person (a New Zealander).

You are right on one account though. I haven't committed to memory every part of nature the whole world over. To claim such (which I didn't) or to assume someone has done such (which you did) is rediculous.

ROFL

I should have put a goofy smile in mine also....heh

My bad...

(I just thought you might have it all memorized, since you seemed to think we/he knew what a kiwi was... I knew of the fruit, but didn't know about the others...)

The Kiwi is our national bird. It's a small, flightless thingy that lives in the dark and are currently (I think) endangered. Thus the nickname "Kiwis" for all of us.

It's also a fruit we love over here, they make a lovely wine from it with an ever so slight electric aftertaste. Quite nice, actually. They were originally called Chinese Gooseberries, I believe and actually came from Southern China originally. It's only early in the 1900s that they were introduced to NZ - maybe a bit later even.

And there you go. Instructions on how to prepare a Kiwi. Useful knowledge, don't say I never do anything for you.

See, situation all cleared up. Thanks Tanitha! Btw, they sure are tasty. The fruit I mean...I'd never import an endangered species strictly for human consumption...never ever.

So....thats a "no its not offensive?"

Tanitha
17-01-2007, 10:24 PM
No, it's not offensive. We call ourselves Kiwis too. Even the sheep jokes are a little bit tongue in cheek with our Ocker (Australian) brethren.

There are some people who get uppity at the useage of Kiwi versus Kiwifruit as they feel calling the fruit Kiwi causes confusion, etc. but I think they're just uptight and ... yeah.

Kiwis mate!

I don't remember the comic's name, but I do recall she was either an Aussie or Kiwi. She had a sheep joke...funny as something that's really really funny. The punchline was, "Personally, I think it's the sheep who are the sluts."
