Anybody from Prague, Czech Republic?

I have a girlfriend that recently left for a study abroad program in Prague. I wanted to look up some info on it but was unable to find any sufficient sites for what it was REALLY like in english. I did go to their tourist page, but I disregard those types of sites due to their "Prague is the best place in the world!" attitude.

Seeing as how this IS an international site with many EU players, can anybody give me the low-down (or a decent site) about Prague? Thanks in advance!

Prague is awesome. That's all i can say all of my stories about the place would be viewed as inappropriate for this forum :wink:

I can say this:

Wenceslas Square is a rip-off for everything
Cheap beer in small local pubs (it worked out at €0.11 for a beer in one of the bars we went to)
local girls are v. attractive & v. friendly (although you would prolly have to avoid that if the gf is there)

Clavina - Thanks for the response. I will not be going there....but one of my girl frinds (not my girlfriend....I have a fiance :)) will be going there. I have only heard horror stories of Prague....pickpocketing and girls getting taken advantage of....so i was just curious :)

Local girls ehhh ehhhh? :P After seeing that horror movie, forgot the name. I am convinced that local girls will seduce then drug me, and sell me to people to torture and kill.

How long will she be gone for, as mine is away as well :(

metoox2, that's 'Hostel' and as a horror movie freak, that was more of a slasher flick than actual horror. Though it was based on real events in Vietnam, I believe.

they say the same about south east asia and pretty much any destination where economic standard isn't as high as the... 'developed' nations.
