I'm trying to replace it with a custom mp3 like I did before TBC. I can't seem to find wow_main_theme.mp3 in any of the .MPQ's.

Where is it? :undecided: Please note this is not anykind of hack and is perfectly leagal, will not give me an advantage.

I'm practically pulling my hair out here. They removed Sound.MPQ and replaced it with others.
I KNOW the file is there somewhere. How is it playing if it's not in a folder or a .MPQ?

Only thing I can think of is it's in common.MPQ. I can't view it for some reason. WinMPQ keeps saying "This file does not contain an MPQ archive."

I wanna replace it with my music. Like I said you can do this before TBC.
I like hearing my own music ingame. Don't like having to be stuck with Blizzard's default music.

That's actually not allowed. Read the ToU and EULA.
Besides, it seems pointless.

Edit: Try modding something that turns off the default sounds and loads your own sounds, in certain areas. I'm pretty sure such is possible.

Do you really hang around on the login screen long enough for it to matter?

MPQ files aren't supposed to be modified, that's why they unified them into 1 file and removed the listfile in 2.0.
