So which people DONT have expac yet and why? I dont have it yet because im broke. On the positive side, im leveling another alt and the zones are pretty much empty except for a few warlocks and hunter alts that im sure will be turning into peoples mains.

pardon my lack of knowledge - does expac mean "expansion pack" or am I guessing wrong

Louesian, you're dead on.
And I don't have BC yet for the same reason as Magikhat.

Same reason as everyone else, however atm im not too bothered, I have a Lvl45 Hunter, and have just started a new Priest.
I WILL be getting TBC but am not botehred about the new chars, i will be getting it for the outlands, which will not open an option for me for about 10-12 lvls with my hunter, so until then i am happy swapping between my toons
Anyway, i am seeing alot of Drae Shammies with JC, there are just TOO MANY

I don't have TBC yet because my main is only lvl 45, and at this time I have no interest in rolling another character because I don't have time to level another character anyway. When my mage gets to 60 I'll definitely get it because I don't want to run 40 man instances and from what I've heard you can get better greens in TBC than you can from farming instance epics.

I just bought WoW 2 weeks ago for £10 and am on my first char, level 25, so won't be getting it till I'm around 60 by which time I'll probably be so busy with the game anyway i won't be bothered about it.
Not sure what all the fuss is about tbh!

Just as there are a million BE pally's running around out there. It's all the people who didn't want to roll alliance but wanted a pally.

Once I heard about TBC coming out, I asked for it for x-mas from the gf. I was DENIED!!! :\
So, who to go to next, Mom Dukes! Good ole mom to come through. She ordered it and won't give me her Amazon logon to check the status of the order.
I have been anxiously awaiting it's arrival!!!
Sucks to hear all about it and to know I can't do a damn thing about it. I am debating on getting it myself from Best Buy and then return the copy from Mom Dukes if it dones't show by today....

I wasn't going to get it for a bit, as I don't have any 58+ characters, yet, but I broke down and bought it, anyway, and started a Blood Elf Paladin. Just having the neat new areas and quests and whatnot is worth the purchase price for me, until I can get to Outlands.

I don't have it 'cause I didn't preorder it. Yeah.
I'm a moron, I know.

I have noticed a ton of UK posters on here. Is this mostly a UK based forum?

All you people who don't have TBC are missing out.. The Cow Level is simply stunning.

The Cow Level ?!? That's where we should grind for or 6OS weapons and armors, right? [/sarcasm off]
Not yet, I rerolled Tauren Druid on a new server, so I won't need it for a while yet.
That said, I'll get it next time I see a spare copy in store.

No, it's really international :) There are mostly people from Europe and some Americans. But the admins are from the UK, unless I'm mistaken.

I can get to the Cow Level without TBC as well. Just hop onto a Wyvern from Orgrimmar.
Don't have TBC either yet. Why not?? Too busy right now, hardly getting any regular play time in as is.

Cool, just noticed a lot of people saying they play on EU servers so I figured that. I'm American, live smack dab in the middle of George Bush Republican country...Omaha, NE. I'm sure you all love little Georgie over there, LOL. I'm one of the few Democrats residing in the is city...depressing...

Been lvl 60 on my main for quite a while now, but don't have it yet, beacuse I didn't preorder either. But rather than consider myself a moron like a previous poster did, I'm just following my plan to wait for things to cool off before I get in there.
And I'm still smack in the middle of leveling my..."horde main", to level 60 where my elven druid is.

I do have a lvl 60 rogue but well .. I enjoy levelling all my alts a lot (most are end-30s, one end-40).
As for making a new char: I'll make a Bloof Elf but I guess the starting areas are a lot more welcoming in a few weeks' time.

I pre-ordered it when the release date was still around Christmas, since they pushed it forward I am now back in the Middle East for my work and just received conformation that a fresh copy is sitting on my table at home.
Now to get someone to send it to me since I have yet to find a copy here.

On my server the starting zones and starting zones in outland are getting a bit less crowded, if you wait for the crowd I would say you might wanna start looking for a copy now.

I am waiting for my collector's edition to arrive. Should be sometime next week. I did plan to wait a bit until the initial rush wears off. I don't fancy standing in line to kill a quest mob, or lag/crash more than in IF when I have just created a new character.

Heh, with all these "I'll wait a bit first" -people, it almost looks like there is soon going to be a "second wave" of players who join simultaneously.

I am waiting for a while for two reasons. My main is only lvl38 and at the rate I play it will be a while. And second I know two people in my town who bought it, one fought with it for 6 hours the first night to get it running and another who has not been able to get it to install. The second person returned it and got the same problem, but has been running the original for a couple of months. Also have you seen the amount of posting on the official message board for tech support!!

God, people even more technically-challenged than some of the people making the general channels in Outlands and the new starter areas more Barrens chat than Barrens chat? Say it ain't so!
