I just rolled a hunter....and I just hit level 10. I have never played on a RP server and wanted some suggestion on a good rp pet. I wanted a boar...but (in an attempt to stik with the RP theme....) I dont think that is a very good....RP pet.
So now I'm looking at an owl...but you can buy them as non-combat pets. So that is kinda null and void as well.
I guess my question is, are any of you heavy RP'ers hunters? How much interaction do you get with your pet in RP situations? Which pet did you choose?
And this is not a "what is the best pet for a hunter" thread...

What race is your hunter? At least I think that for example, for an orc, a boar or other physically durable animal might be just suitable, but a night elf might rather have a more agile pet, such as a wolf or one of those oh-so-popular-cats.
Then of course, your character might me quite a unique person, so I wouldn't really know.

My apologies.
I am a Draenai, female.....named Aselma.
I am currently thinking of

but I really don't know how that would go with RP'ing except its uniqueness to the Alliance, and the color for me playing a female.

Actually, I would personally find it more interesting if the pet I had was OPPOSITE gender to me. But suit yourself.

I don't know of anything that really screams masculine though....any thoughts?

As Icefrost said, Boars are masculine. Maned lions. Most sort of aggressive creatures: Raptors, crocodiles, wolves
Of course, I can think of feminine versions of most of the above that are just as strong (well, not the obviously male lions and boars, say  )
Most creatures could fit though, especially if you give a rather masculine name rather than something that's ambiguous. Easiest way would be to refrain from vowels at the end of the name, and use hard sounds letters; K, Gr, M, N, V, etc.
Just some ideas.

I might just do that....

"kcma has died" in party chat...so i might want to rethink ;p

I play on an RP server that is not very hardcore. I dont need to be in character every moment that I am on but I have a Belf Hunter that is my favorite. Everyone I have raided with or been around for more then one adventure knows I have fun with my pets. I have had wolves, cats, owls and scorpids. But my favorite is my cat, he is one of the leopards from BM. In the last two Kara runs I will take control him and run him around the two female druids in cat form and make some funny emotes like /em Dakiter shakes his head as Leo tries to be a little "too" playful with {druid name}.
As long as it fits for you it works. As long as you are having fun I guess its all that matters. To me my cat is a big kitten.
