well, i guess im not a complete noobie... no characters over 30 but i have like 15 that are 15+ and i no a decent bit about PvP and the game overall, but i just cant stick with a class. This usually happens to me in other games with class systems: i just make another character when i get mildly bored. Dont ask me how i like to play because i can play any way and i like most aspects of every class, ill just say that i love to PvP and would choose the build thats best for it. One thing though is that my connection is less than perfect at some times.

So after reading about me, what class should i be?

P.S. sry bout the thread you get all the time, its just i cant decide

Probably a druid.
That way you have a warrior, rogue and spellcaster rolled into one class.

But there's really no way I can say one class is better than another. I lov'em all! I may be really bad at playing a warrior and rogue, but they are not inferior to any other class, just different. It will be the same way for you.

each class has its goods and bads... none is the perfect class and will defeat anyone and never lose.

I plan on trying them all and fiding which fits MY style of play. I will build my own characters on what I find works. I am really new to wow and my first is a druid. I picked it because its said to be a multi purpose, moster of none but well rounded on multi cases.

What did we just say? NO CLASS IS BETTER THAN THE REST!

Okey, that said, many people think hunter have good survivability, though it's entirely a matter of taste and skill. Try them all up to level 15-20 and then find one you enjoy.
I can't say one is better than another for you because we all have different taste. Heres the bottom line:

Only YOU can say which class is right for you!
Try them out...

If you are planning on trying a druid...get to ATLEAST level 20 when you get cat form....before then, they really stink!

Actually, I have one of each. ^_^
These are the one's on my main server (Trollbane):

Shaman - 60
Priest - 32
Warlock - 31
Hunter - 26
Warrior - 22
Rogue - 22
Mage - 18
Paladin - 18
Druid - 11

On a different (abandoned?) server I have:

Priest - 48
Druid - 29

Mind you, I have a tendency of deleting characters at around lvl 20-25 if I don't like them, so most of these are in the "testing stage". I often find one class to be totally boring with one race, yet extremely interesting when played on a different race. Weird...

Haha, I have about 40 characters. I love my druid....but they get different aspects while they are leveling. At level 10 you get bear form....whihch turns you into....a bear...That is the "warrior" form....and it is only ok to play....it doesnt really have anything good on it (at that level...)

At 20 you get cat form, which is the form most players use to level up. It is more of a rogue form, and you can stealth. That form has some very nice damage output....which is why I say if you are going to try a druid....get to that level and see if you like THAT form.

Exactly. A druid can be VERY frustrating at times. A druid requires a good amount of patience. They are by far the most Gear dependent toons in WOW.
Your gear is completely going to determine what you are going to be good at. Most people taht play druids have more than 1 gear set. You would have a set for cat, casting and healing. The casting and healing can go into one category but you have to have a sep set for cat/bear.

I think the level 20 statement can be more or less a blanket statement. Toons really become A LOT better at 20. I would def. give a toon till level 20 defore I really made up my mind whether I like them or not.

No,

IIRC Druids get a new form every few levels
Bear Form Level 10

Aquatic Form Level 16 Swim and breathe underwater. Swim speed is equal to normal run speed.

Cat Form Level 20 Can do Melee DPS and has a stealth mode similar to Rogue class.

Travel Form Level 30 Looks like a cheetah, Druids receive a 40% run speed increase in this form. May only be used outdoors on land.

Dire Bear Form Level 40 An improved version of Bear Form that looks the same as the standard Bear Form, but has greatly increased bonuses to armor and hit points. Excellent for Tanking.

Moonkin Form 31 points in Balance Talents A spellcasting form that gives nearby party members an additional 5% critical chance to spells cast. While in Moonkin form, a Druid is restricted to only casting Balance spells.

Tree of Life Form 41 points in Restoration Talents Introduced in the Burning Crusade, this form transforms the Druid into the Tree of Life. While in this form you increase healing by 25% of your total Spirit for all party members within 45 yards, your movement speed is reduced by 20%, and you can only cast Swiftmend, Innervate and healing over time spells while the mana cost of these spells is reduced by 20%.

Flight Form Level 68 Introduced in the Burning Crusade, this form transforms the Druid into a flight form increasing movement speed by 60%. Cannot be used in combat. Can only use this form in Outland.

i personally like my rogue...it was easy to level has great suvivability, and is just fun to play...you have a nice range of different ways to attack, either sneaking up behind and stunning them until they are pretty much dead, or coming straight at them gung ho style, also sneak in front and kill them that way....my mage is fun if i play with a healing class because i have like 6 or 7 mobs swarm me while they heal me, and i just AoE the mobs. i just rolled a hunter and i personally enjoyed my rogue to 20 more than my hunter to 20, but running faster is a big plus :)

Picking a class really depends on what you expect out of it.

The novelty of the classes really begins to wear off after a few days /played.

Pick a class that appeals to you for more reasons than it got buffed last patch. I mention this because you'll only be disappointed when it gets nerfed in subsequent patches. Then, you'll be looking for the flavor of the month class all over again.

If you want ez-mode, roll a hunter. I just can't think of a more well-equipped class to deal with whatever is thrown at it. Medium to high sustained DPS and a faithful damage sponge pet. Traps? Here ya go. Use them to great effect in PvP, and you'll be able to beat pretty much anyone.

Granted, every single class in the game can level up and do reasonably well in PvP. I just can't think of one that can do it with the relative ease of a hunter.

I do believe that picking a charectar class is a personal taste issue, irregardless of what others say. primarily because YOU ar ethe one who will play it for 70 levels (for the average softcore player thats an easy 5-6 months of play time on ONE toon).

and I would hate to be responsible for someone getting to 70 and finding out that they really didn't like the toon they grinded on and blamed me cause I recommended it :)

Heres how I started out...I origionally started with a priest due to some recommendations from people, got to the mid 20's found I didn't like the rate and methd she grinded at, started a rogue, played her until the 30's then tested about every other combo at least thru the 10's (most at abotu 15-18) alot of work? not really...as I have now found that my rogue is by far my favorite charectar, and I also have other toons that I can hop onto at a moments notice to use their trade skills, farm for mats, run with a group thru an instance, or whatever else. Not to mention that I have a horde of storage space

So why the rogue? I liked the ability to control every situation I ran into. If I needed to fight, I could dish out serious DPS. If the mob was too tough, i can vanish away, or simply stealth past them and pick the lock. I can sneak thru an instance and gank the boss for nice drops. I can run thru areas and pick pockets for cash. and the speed a rogue attacks at is fun to watch

Moral of the story: pick your own. It might be better to ask people what the most popular features of ALL the classes are, and figure out which one seems appealing to you the best, and don't be afraid to try them all. don't be too rushed to lvl to 70...I know there's alot of people right now in a super-grind frenzy, but trust me, you'll enjoy the game alot more if you take your time to figure out what you like best)

I am one that thinks I want something at one point then change my mind at another, the most difficult thing to me is sticking to one class which I really want to do. I have tried every class in the game, before my last account got banned I had a 54 rogue a 60 hunter and 64 human warrior. At times I want to PvE and just level, grind or just fool around in gold shire, other times I want to be a pvp master and go out and own some people up, then sometimes i want to raid. Now I'm sure many people have these feelings but I of all want to do all the above things with all different classes. Say I think I found the right class, I get to level 21 and make a new one. I want to know maybe what I should do to make a class more fun for me

Cool - Trollbane is my server too - though I am totally new to WOW (been playing 5 days). I have Syan - lvl 17 NElf Rogue.

So far I am absolutely loving playing a rogue.

Cancer: Blissful mother Fricka (Frigg); also Manni; Lord of the Moon/Druid/Night Elf

Leo: Mighty Thor; also, Sunna (the Sun)/Paladin/Blood Elf

Virgo: Sif (Sifa), the wife of Thor and Frowe of the harvest/Rogue/Orc

Libra: Tyr, the lawgiver of the Gods; also Forseti, the god of Justice/Paladin/Draenei

Scorpio: Hela (Holle); Goddess of Death and Rebirth/Warlock/Undead

Sagittarius: Allfather Odin (mounted on Sleipnir)/Mage/Gnome

Capricorn: Skadi; Goddess of Winter and the Hunt; also Ullr, Lord of the Hunt/Hunter/Troll

I wasn't going by the names of the gods or signs. Those stay where they are. But your right in a way. Not all the pieces fit into place. Here the new improved version. I switched somethings around to where they should be:

Aries: the fiery Loki, and Ostara, the goddess of Spring/Warlock/Human

Taurus: both the youthful Idunna and Weiland, smith of the Gods/Warrior/Dwarf

Gemini: Both Freyr and Freyja as the Twins/Warrior/Defense: Tauren/Offense: Orc

I know it sucks being in a gaming rut, but if you play them all to at LEAST level 10, and you decide you like them, stay around for a couple more levels and evaluate. If you don't like a class or do and still feel somthing is missing, then list the pros and cons of that said class and see what you are looking for that that class is lacking. This should help you decide what you want.
Also, if you don't have The Burning Crusade, I would reccommend getting that because I could never stick with a single "toon" until I got to play the Blood Elf and Draenei races.
Hope I helped and I hope you find your gaming niche.

there isn't a need to delete chars despite the fact you pick one "main" char (as it seems to be refered to here).....and just keep gaming with that...and playing with the other expereiments/alts at later dates...and you can use them to carry stuff too (like mules in diablo2)?

(from what i hear i think you can mail things to your other chars?)

my suggestion is to look around on a bunch of sites. when i decided to roll a new character i researched it....decided what i want.

do i want to be right in there giving the blows?
do i want to be sneaky and tricky?
do i want to control someone else and stay back and range my enemy?
do i want to be the foundation to a group and give everyone life?

druids are a mix of everything, but i picked it as my first character, and really found it hard to play (mind you, i picked the balanced spec). imo, as a first time player, you're going to want to be able to deal the punches, and really feel that you can take down mobs on your own.

but like everyone says - you have to pick the one you want.

look around at the forums, look at the pictures, the abilities, and such..or just roll one of each until you find the one you like :)
