WoW PVP

HI.

I have got the game but I have not installed it yet (tonight I will). Anyway I am used to the pvp anywhere as I have Lineage 2 (NcSoft grinding MMO) but I am not used to noob PVP. Is there going to be lots of newbie players where I am trying to complete quests going around Pk'ing everyone they see?

There are two types of servers. Ones where what you said is possible(PvP) and ones where you are always safe until you decide you want to be attacked.(PvE/"normal")
But even on the PvP servers, its not like there is some ganker behind every corner. First of all you get to play all the way to lvl 20 or even higher before you ever have to come out of friendly territory (area where enemies cannot attack you at will regardless of server type) and after that its like I said. Not like there are enemies around every few inches of ground.
Most people know this as well and hence its unlikely to encounter a player who has specifically come to whereever you happen to be with the sole intention of killing players. They go to the battlegrouns(arranged PvP instance areas) instead.

Add to that the fact that around half the people you see are friendly, not enemies and you should get a fairly good picture of what it's like.

What is PK'ing?

There are some very well known areas where players gank...(ganking is when a player of a MUCH higher level kills you without you having a chance....)

But...as Icefrost noted...you CAN get to level 20-25 without stepping foot into an area where other players kill you.

But after that...you will be in zones where you CAN be killed (and willl....) but in return you can kill other people as well....so it usually always works out nicely.

On our server PK is either player kill or player killer - guess that probably equates to Ganker
