Logging into main site during maintenance.

If I attempt to login to the official Blizzard site during maintenance, does it reject the login?

I tried logging in today to view when my game card expires, and using the same username and password since day one, which has been saved into the browser's history, it tells me:

There was an error while trying to sign you on. Please try again later.

And when I try to login to the official forums, it says, simply: Login error



I tried the "forgot account name" and "forgot password" methods, but both result in a server 500 error.

Yea....you should be fine.

Its patch day, which means over 7 Million players are going to the official site to check information, look through forums, etc.

The site is getting overloaded....give it a try in a little while.


But yes. their Account Information section sucks....badly. It wouldn't let me log in for a few hours once while I was trying to cancel my account....during those few hours, my CC got billed again....so I got to play for another month.../sigh

Sounds good. Had me worried that Blizzard may have screwed something up. You know, being Blizzard and all.

That sounds a little... planned. I should use my credit card and try canceling, see what happens.

Well, I don't know if it was planned, as it usually takes me atleast 2 log-in attempts to get into my account info anyways....but it defintly sucks. I called Blizz about it and they offered to cancel the subscription (and cancel the billing) but I (being addicted) said no.

You have a MONTH to cancel your cc, and you waited until the last few hours, and then blamed blizz....

I don't see where in either post of his he blamed Blizzard. He said Blizzard's account page sucks, which it does, but nothing about blaming them for continuing the subscription.... ?

I can never access the main site while maintenance was going on. It used to be you couldn't even use the forums.
