Got a couple respec questions for the group...I suppose they belong here in newcomers but who knows. I'm surprised this isn't a FAQ somewhere. My first WoW character is a 'lock currently lvl 43 and I'm looking to respec. I've come to realize I would have spent talent points differently if I had it to do all over again. Before I think about respec'ing though I have the following questions:

1) I know a respec will cost 1g, 5g, 10g, etc for each time you do it but would I have to completely buy all my skills again from the 'lock trainer, or does it ONLY affect talent points? I can't imagine how much it would cost to retrain everything, WAY more than 1g.

2) How long before the respec "counter" resets? Let's say I respec today, then 2 weeks from today. When would the respec cost go back down to 1g?

TIA for any input :P

The respec "cooldown" is 1 month....if you buy a respec today for 1g, in 2 weeks it would be 5g, but in 4 weeks it would be 1g.

No....you don't buy alll your skills back. I do not know anything about warlocks....but the talents taht actually give you an upgradeable skill (like pyroblast for mages (it has rank 1, rank 2, rank 3, etc...)) you will need to buy the upgraded skills if you put your talent back into that.

But things like fireball (since you dont need talents to get it) would not.

So, if you respeced to the max gold amount on Jan 1st, by Jan 30th it would be 1g again?

I think it would revert by one incrementation a month. IE; You respecced until the cost was 50G. After a month, the price would reduce to 45G (I believe, correct me if I'm wrong).

IIRC, the range is 15g to 35g....

First, is Jan 30th is a month from Jan 1? (i.e. Are they in the same month? If so, it hasn't been a month...)

Second, I do not believe that there is a regression in cost until after you hit 20g, which reverts to 15g (the minimum) after a month.
