Buff timers on party/target's buffs

Hey

First: I'm all new to the modding scene, but this is it, I'm getting started to write my own mod. I have programming experience from PHP, mysql, vb etc, and now wanna try this, as I play a lot.

My question is: is it possible to detect how long time a buff on my target or my partymembers have left in duration? Eg. MOTW on my target, how long time is there till it expires?

Is there a function that gets that value?

short answer: No

that's my problem in BeneCast... I do propose someone writes one mod to propagate this information through the Addon-channel and then we can all use that info to make more accurate decisions.

Ye I kind'a figured that was how it worked...

But writing such a mod brings in some latency issues... Is there a server-time you can validate up against, or something similar?

And what about ctmod, haven't they got such a functionality? I kind'a remember you once could see the time left on other ppl's buffs in ctraidassist.
