i dont even know if this is possible, but for configuration purposes, at least with party and raid specific mods, you have to actually be in a party/raid to get your settings right. if there is a way to "simulate" a party, or a raid, and be able to make them have a set amount of health, maybe a decaying health, and also apply "pseudo" debuffs on them to test all sorts of combat mods.

also, this could be a way to "train" yourself on how to heal, or decurse, something like that. again, i dont even know if this is possible, but if it is, i think it would be very helpful in configing mods ect.

related idea - pseudo interface

maybe a program that allows you to load into a user interface to fine tune mods without wasting time being logged in. again, maybe allowing the creation of parties, raids, health loses, debuffs, just a basic way to config mods without logging into the game. (plus, if creating a pseudo party is against blizzard tos, this would work around it)

just some thoughts.

P.S.
Update Serenity Please.

A reasonable idea and the first part could certainly be useful. For now i'll stick to loitering in AV if I need to test something :) .

maybe a program that allows you to load into a user interface to fine tune mods without wasting time being logged in.I don't really see how this helps. Would you be wasting the same time regardless? I can't think of how this would be possible anyway.

And yeah, Serenity is sadly missed. I think it'll return, just might take a while for someone to do it. I had a look at it but the code is a bit of a mess and half the comments are French :( .

Simulating a party/raid could work if one can hook into the UnitExists, UnitBuff, UnitDebuff, UnitHealth, UnitMana, ... functions and return fake values.
