Hello, I'm generally new here, and I've got a small question.
Let's presume that a person has been playing WoW until recently and it's account is on "frozen" status. If that persons buys and installs BC, is it going to get one month of free time like with the original WoW or not?
P.S. After what time are unused characters on account deleted?

1) There would be no free month with TBC. It's the same game with a lot more content. But if said person's account is frozen, said person should not buy TBC though. TBC will not enable that account to become unfrozen. Said person would have to buy another copy of WoW and a copy of TBC.

2) Characters and accounts are never deleted, or at least not deleted until Blizzard shuts down the WoW servers when WoW is no longer profitable for them.

Or does he mean that he himself has just cancelled his subscription and chosen not to play. Either way, you don't get a free month....but if you just haven't been playing for awhile, (as opposed to getting banned) then TBC will let you jmp right back into the game.

Not

I've gone six months 'frozen' with my toons being intact...So, it is longer than six months...

Sorry, I interpreted "frozen" as "banned". I didn't think about frozen being "cancelled".

So, I buy TBC, open a new credit card, pay a monthly fee and continue?
P.S. Maybe posted in wrong part of the forum, I've played WoW actively for more than a year :)

If your account wasn't banned (which we are still unclear on), then all you need to do is buy TBC and reactivate the account. No new credit card needed.

If your account was banned, then you would need a new copy of WoW and a copy of TBC. If you're playing on US servers and your account was banned, then I think you would need to validate the new account with a different credit card.

No, I'm not banned... "Frozen" status is status where you have no subscription left, not banned, not cancelled. Don't know how it is in America, but in Europe we pay on a one, three or six month subscribtions, and I personally (have) used Visa Virtuon credit card of Raiffeisen bank. So, in fear of e-stealing, I pay only the amount needed to make a subscription of one month (aside of core amount of money on card), then manually update subscription, wait for it to expire, go to bank, add 13 more Euros on card, repeat. And now, because my credit card has expired, I decided to wait for TBC to continue playing and create a new credit card. I'm not banned, nor account cancelled, just OOS :)
P.S I live in Serbia, it's hard monetary situation there (average monthly payment 60 Euros), so that's why I have decided to wait for TBC in hope of "Free Month" Thank you all for help.

I think what he meant was: his wages are 60 euro's per month. Hence, the card and 13 euro's story he posted before.

^ I get confused by these types of details :P

I have no idea why Blizzard charges rediculous amounts for those countries. Its pathetic. Not like they make Millions every month on Europe and America alone, greedy buggers lol.

They're a company, not a charity, making money is what they do. Lest, their stockholders get angry and that's not a good thing either.

# The basic one-month subscription plan costs €12.99 per month (£8.99 in the UK)
# The three-month plan costs €11.99 per month (£8.39 in the UK)
# The six-month plan costs €10.99 per month (£7.69 in the UK)

The fact that Serbia has a monthly wage, which isn't even equivalent to the weekly wage in most Western European countries, is not something that can be laid at the feet of either Blizzard or even the owners of Blizzard, namely Vivendi Games.

You try and keep prices as uniform as possible, to help facilitate your own financial administration and to not create any additional overhead due to currency exchanges. Which in the EU, is a little bit unavoidable, considering the Brits are still working with Pound Sterling, whereas most of Continental Europe is working with Euro's. But we're entering the discussion of geopolitical and geo-economical situations, which are a wee bit outside of the purview of this forum.

Its really straightforward capitalism. Mercedes and BMW doesn`t cut their prices to a tenth in order to sell in developing countries either. Noone does, except of course the European union, who does exactly that to outcompete africans in their own countries.

"Average monthly payment", ok I've used this term bad, I meant not of WoW average monthly payment (which is, btw, 13 Euros), but of average job's monthly payment in Serbia, which, compared to the fact that 60% of people doesen't have a job, makes a disturbing fact. Valas got it right. (btw, my wages are not 60 Euros, my wages are a lot lot higher(that's why I had the money for WoW), I was just talking about an average man's wage)...

Haha, no worries on the wording...after reading through the post again (and seeing V.A.'s response) I figured out what you were saying...I tend to read throuhg posts very quickly :P

Anyways, I was gonna post a "If you only make 60 euros a month...how'd you buy the game?!?!" But youve answered that as well... come on back to TBC and have some fun!
