Inporting text files

Hey everyone I was just wondering whether it is possible to make a mod that allows you to dump a text files contents into a frame ingame. This way you could do some coding or whatever while waiting for something like a BG to open.

If anybody could tell me if this is a realistic idea and if so how I would achieve it, it would be much appreciated.

You cannot interract with an external program or file apart from the savedvariables file, and even then only when you load the game (or reloadui).
