The question would be - what budget? I could tell you to take her for a romantic hot-air balloon flight and a nice picnic where you land ... but without knowing how much you're willing to spend it's difficult to offer concrete advice.

Then I would suggest following the DIY route. Flowers have unique and different meanings. (Refer here (http://www.theflowerexpert.com/content/aboutflowers/flower-meanings)) Google can help you find more. By buying your own flowers and arranging them yourself, using as many natural types of materials as possible (A rough straw type of binding, textured ribbons and so on) you're putting a very personal touch on whatever message you choose to send her. And you'll be saving a bit of money and not succumbing to the generic Valentine's Day gift ideas.
A lot depends on what type of girl she is though, but generally think tactile. Something to excite the senses. So - what's she like? What does she enjoy? What do you want to give her and what would make sense to give her?
i agree with DIY. go snip some flower from your neighbors, cook with nothing but apron on *wink wink*, or something. you're in HS, save that 120 for mary jane or something :p

Cook her dinner.
girls in high school want to feel romantic more than get pretty (and shiny) things...make her a candlelight dinner (w/o parents)....bring her flowers and drive her home.
i'm a badass cook... too bad no girls coming over for valentine... oh wait i'll be at work 'til 2am... well not that anyone's coming over if i didn't work...

Run... before she threatens to drive into a tree and you have to shepherd her home in a separate vehicle in peak hour traffic . Only to be abused by her mother although its her fault the poor girl is so emotionally weak.
But hey... you go have the time of your life

A damn shame to all the fine ladies out there.
I hate Vday, even when I'm with someone.

I never celebrate V-day properly, but if you want advise on special gifts, well, what does she like? What does she want badly? If you know that, you could do something about it for her gift, if that is within what you can do. If what she wants is ridiculous.....

Flowers (sent to her workplace) and a laptop. I've always tried to be single around V-Day... Not because of money, but the fact that I don't need a certain day to show someone how much I love them. I do that everyday, whether I like it or not :)

Okay, well here's where I admit I'm a girly girl sometimes.
Girls like romance, but they want it to be special. Flowers and cards are soo generic - they're nice, don't get me wrong, but if you really want to wow her, think of something that's meaningful to HER. Then, think about your strengths. For example - I'm a good cook, and I'm pretty good with photoshop. So for my friend's birthday, I photoshopped a picture of her in cambodia because she wants to go there, and printed it out and had it framed. Then I baked a really cool dinner and made a cake. As cheesy as it sounds, it's always the effort that counts.
That being said, one time someone took a video camera around with him and did all this crazy stuff and sang a song in the middle of a crowd and yeah. It was really sweet. Things like that, that are really out of the ordinary, and are just meaningful to one person, really stand out.

I just think it's funny the way you e-pounce on anyone who posts the words "woman, girl, chick" etc, in much the same way a dog which has gone without any attention for a few days will jump up on people the first chance it gets.

I gave my girlfriend a puppy with the help of photoshop, thanks to her computer ignorance i spent 20 minutes explaining that you can combine pictures on the computer :ponder:

We love Girly Girlys here
And yeah shes right, flowers and candy gets boring for the girl. You always got to come up with new and better stuff to surprise her, but don't go all out :P or you'll find it hard to top yourself next year :D
Its hard coming up with great stuff for every anniversary, holiday and birthday, girls have it easy >O
This year, I say F it, I'm taking it easy :)
Mmm... coming up with a chick to excercise valentines idea might be trickier than coming up with valentines idea :p
