I posted a thread awhile back about an error message when windows first prompted, a CMOS. Was told it was the battery, and it was. Got it was replaced. Two days later, the computer was messed up. In the middle of the paper, the screen just froze. Task Manager wouldn't come up, and when I hit the reset button, nothing happened. Well, when I hard shut the comp down, and booted it back up, couldnt get windows to prompt.

Took it to a computer repair shop, and they said it was the mobo itself. I have an ASUS A7N8X-X mobo, and they said I just need any socket A mobo. Well, I have about 100 bucks, can anyone help me find a cheap one? Been looking, but not having much luck.

Anything other than an ASUS... i have heard nothing but problems with ASUS. You may want to specify your region so people can point you to the right shop and understand what currency your talking although if its American... you should have no dramas.

I agree. I've had nothing but good experiences with ASUS motherboards, although their graphics cards are something to be desired.
