Can you buy mounts at the Auction House?

Well, the title says it all, can you buy mounts at the auction house?

I'm a Draenei, but I'm not a fan of the elekks. I'd like something else when I hit 40. I looked for mounts on the AH and didn't find any, but someone told me you could get them at the AH.

Technically you CAN, but no-one ever puts mounts on the AH :tongue:


If you dont like the Elekks as a draenie, then you have to grind rep with another faction (its not that hard to do anymore) to be able to use their mounts.

The mounts are bind on purchase any more, if memory serves.

Yup, I read that a long, long time ago they were BoE bur are now BoP

The easiest rep to grind in outlands is kurenai - who have the talbuk - which are actually quite neat when you see them IMHO

Yeap, changed when they brought the new riding system in (patch 1.12.1 I think)

Just so you couldn't buy a mount with say a lvl1 char from another faction and send it to another character (that isn't of the same race).

The change was the keep the need to get exalted with a faction to get their mount.

On a totally unrelated note, Elekks are mighty cool. They just need someone as big as a Draenei male riding them, otherwise it just looks a bit silly.

Thanks everyone for all the info. My rep with the Humans isn't too far behind my rep with the Draenei, anyway, so maybe I'll just try for exaulted rep. (I spend most of my time in human areas.)

The big reason I don't want an elekk is because you can't see a thing when riding one. They're just way too big, all I can see is the thing's ginormous butt. (I know this because there is a lvl 11 quest where you get to ride one.)Especially as a female draenei, which are smaller than their male counterparts.

A human riding an elephant-ish creature would be kinda cool though....

I'm actually planning on having my Gnome Warrior ride one. Because you can *see* a Gnome on an Elekk.

You can buy the riding skill, and buy a mount using pvp tokens, doest take to long at all :)
