Reputation Grinds

With the release of a ton of new reputations, which ones are you all focusing on? As a mage, I am currently getting my Thrallmar Rep to Exalted (Honor Hold for Alliance) so I can get an incredibly powerful 1H sword (+150 dmg). It is going slowly, but I can expect (if I can continuously find groups for Shattered Halls, to be exalted within the end of the week. After I finish with that grind, I am going to work on the Nagrand rep.

What are yall working on and why?

I haven't done much rep grinding as of yet. I've been focusing on keying quests and the like but now that I'm officially out of solo quests (at least that I've found) the rep grind begins in earnest. I will finish off Scryer first. Then Cenaurion expedition or Nagrand. I'm just not too fond of Shattered Halls so I don't see myself doing too much with Thrallmar. I'll just keep running Shadow Labs until I get the caster sword out of there.

Yea, I should probably do a search of boss drops before I worry too much about rep grinds. Any chance you know the name of the item you were talking about?

One thing that is relatively annoying is the inability for some of these factions to allow you to gain reputation outside of instances.

Ive finished all the solo quests and im 2/3 honored with every faction, but weve been raiding kharazhan every night for a fortnight and i just cant find time to run normal instances to get that final 4k to revered and the heroic keys.

Mind you as a tailor Priest I can count the faction rewards usefull to me on one hand, think i will work to finishing off aldoras they seem to be the only faction offering me anything at the moment.

Yeah the rep sword is definitely still better but it's just a cost vs. reward for me... and it's not worth the number of shattered halls runs it would take for me to get exalted with thrallmar. LOL

As a priest and tailor/enchanter I'll be looking to reach exalted with The Scryers for the healing inscriptions and healing staff (if I haven't found anything better by then), there's also the awesome Seer's Signet ring from them to be had.

Need revered with Cenarion for a healing head piece and the spell strike enchant recipe.

Keepers of time is another important one, for some AWESOME healing bracers along with the major spellpower enchant recipe and the ring spell power enchant.

Lower City has a real nice mace (comparable to the HH/Thrallmar sword) available at exalted and an excellent healing trinket at revered.

Then there's the prime of them all, Sha'tar, with a healing mace with a whopping 282 +heal and 8mp5 and stats on it. There are a few other comparables to it, but they're not easy to get hold of.. They also have the enchant healing power to a ring. Yay Sha'tar.

The Sha'tar - For that awesome healing mace (Gavel of Pure Light) and a few enchanting +healing formulas (Enchant Gloves - Major Healing, Enchant Ring - Healing Power, Enchant Weapon - Major Healing), Heroic instance key.

Scryer - For the healing inscription to Shoulder/the Seer's Cane (until I get the gavel), Heroic instance key.

Lower City - Healing trinket (Lower City Prayerbook), Heroic instance key.

Cenarion Exp/Thrallmar - Heroic instance keys so I can get the tempest keep key.

Haven't seen much more lately but I haven't really been looking because the above is enough to grind for...

I had a rogue in my guild accedentally need on that against my mage last night because the dagger dropped as well and in his excitement he clicked the wrong one. And he won it with a roll of 100 versus my roll or 84 :cry:

But, back on topic, I'm focusing first on rep for all of the heroic key and the keeps of time for a very nice jewelcrafting trinket.

I really want to get to Revered with Honor Hold for a great polearm but I have absolutely no clue how to do it. My research showed that you could only get to Revered from Honored by doing the repeatable PVP quest at 10 rep a pop.

Is there any other way to do this or an I just going to have to give up?

Getting rep has ALWAYS been about how much time you have. Everything in WoW has been about how much time you have. What's changed with that?

However, if it was equally hard to gain rep with a faction in BC as it was earlier you'd see very few people ever making it to the raid instances, given the number of factions needed to gain rep with in BC.

I haven't really done much of an rep grind yet... I did rep grind up to honored with the scryers by firewing signets... but other than that nothing really. I'm gonna grind to revered to get the heroic mode keys, since you all need one to put the instance on heroic mode.

Although if I had to chose which ones I'll be doing first, it'll be either scryers for the inscriptions, or cenarion expedition for Earthwarden. I suspect by the time I hit exaulted with CE, I'll have a better weapon.... but who knows =]

Focussing on Honor Hold exalted for that sweet gun they have. Then Shatar, Cenerion, Lower City revered for keys.

Also focussing on Keepers of Time exalted, going REALLY fast, revered in 1 Durnholde (plus quest) and 4 Black Morass (With Q). And the rep keeps pooring in.

It's "Player responsibility" I have had the same thing happen and thats what a GM told us.

Have been working SW exhalted, horse > elephant, or whatever the heck the Draenei are riding, so now I just need the last 2 levels ding 40.
(Btw did you know you get full rep for quests in Elwyn forest at lvl 38?, lol grinded 4000 rep in just 30 min)

As soon as I complete Karazhan key quests, which will be today most probably, I'll start with cenarion for heroic mode key. This is because apart from unlocking raid instances along with other three factions, Cenarion expedition unlocks another raid instance by itself (but I think part of Karazhan key quest is also linked to it). I cant remember the name of the raid, if someone knows please post.
Following cenarion, I'll be grinding whatever is required for getting other heroic keys for other raids. I am doing aldor quests and grinding when I dont get a group for an instance, but it is not a priority, there should be some good drops in those instances, nothing dropped for me so far :(

I've done Scryers and Consortium exalted. Next I'll get Caverns of Time exalted, I'm about 2k/21k at the moment. I still don't have revered Thrallmar :( so I'll do that this weekend with lots of Shattered Halls runs.

I've been grinding the bloodelfs in shadowmoon with pretty good droprates.

As for consortium, i've been grinding the etherals in netherstorm, also a decent droprate.

Any tips would be welcome though :)

Sadly no tips. I was first consortium exalted on my server and was generally left alone while farming the zaxxis mobs apart from the odd person doing the quest. I found scryers' rep a lot more frustrating. Those damn birds at Eclipsion Point. Meh. When I got bored I farmed Fel Armaments (as I've personally found them easier to get) and swapped them with guildies. The zaxxis mobs drop rate on insignias was 50%. I also spent some time in Nagrand farming ogres (got mag'har rep for kill and warbeads hand in for consortium) when I was bored but found a lot of competition when I was there.
