Pics are a bit blurry, camera phone ftl.. I'm a bit of a tattoo noob, thats my first one. I got it about 3 months ago and I'm really happy at the way it turned out :afro:

What would make this thread more interesting, is if you explained your tats as well. I am (and have been) working on drawing out my tat for about 4 years...do to a heart condition, I was not able to get it for quite some time....but now that everything is healing up nicely, I can finally go under the needle. I'll try and take a pic of my drawing and host it later tonight.

My first tattoo, right calf. 05/1998. I got this the night before high school graduation, symbolising that (minor) milestone.

Second tat, left forearm under the elbow. 02/1999. I got this just after I started at Texas Tech, because I wanted another tattoo.

Third tat, right between the shoulder blades. 04/2001. From bottom to top, "The end of a ban on disorder".

I got these as a set, on the wrists. 09/2004. "Pain" on the left wrist, "To suffer" on the right. I'm planning on completing the set with "Love" and "Sacrifice" on the tops of my feet.

I really like the tribal-ish ones that u have. I wanted something similar on my neck instead of the one i have but the space is too small for anything massively detailed.

Firstly, Henry Rollins is not a drunk. I don't recall exactly how long he's been sober, but it's been quite a while.

Secondly, unless you're posting pics of your tattoos, or commenting about the pics posted, you'd make more people much happier by posting your drivel in this thread. (http://forums.worldofwar.net/showthread.php?t=381092) This is also directed at kcma and xxlebox, so don't feel singled out, farafel.

Sadly I have yet to come up with something worth tattooing on myself. For the sake of telling a story though I'll explain one a friend of mine got. Most people consider this kid to be an ***hole. A few believe he is an idiot. On the first one, yeah, a good deal of the time. On the second.. never. Anyways, one day this kid comes in to the lunch room sits down and without saying a word gets everyones attention and lifts his sleave to reveal a mind-blowingly good tattoo of an angel, done in greyscale. He says it's his guardian angel. The story behind it: this kids grandmother bought him a car. In the car she leaves a card with an angel on it and inside a written message "Don't drive faster than your guardian angel can fly." A little while after that his grandmother had died, he got the tattoo in memory of her.

Needless to say with his guardian angel pinned in his arm she's always on hand for his reckless speeding.
