You must have a certified physical exam, psychological exam, attend a school on firearms usage, prove ownership, get a certificate from the alcaldia on your police record, Once you get everything verified and certified you go to the local police station, present all these papers and if everything is ok, In a couple of days they issue you a 5 year portacion de arma card. There are restrictions of where you can have it though. No automatics though, sadly :(
