Every time, and I mean EVERY TIME, I get to Orgrimmar on a windrider I get disconnected. I also get lag when entering a city I haven't been to in a while. So I always go to Thunderbluff instead of Org for AH, except when I need to go to UC and use zep. I'm using my school's laptop (they hand it out to any student who joins the school) and here are it's specs according to Xfire...
Manufacturer: Dell Inc.
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium (R) M processor 1.73GHz
Memory: 504MB RAM
Hard Drive: 60 GB
Video Card: Mobile Intel (R) 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express Chipset Family
Monitor: Plug and Play Monitor
Sound Card: SigmaTel C-Major Audio
Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2
I have a good internet service, so I know it's not that. I'm pretty sure it's the fact that this laptop barely meets the minimum requirement for the game. So are there any setting within WoW that I can change to increase my performance? I know some say it when you hover over the option, but some only say it will affect performance and not how.

Two options, either it's related to the bandwith issues that you mention in your other thread. More likely imo though, is the RAM. Not enough of it, cities are essentially kill zones (and in the case of IF this is quite literal, there's a reason why it's called trench death) if you don't have enough juice.

Too many folks and all sorts of textures to load into RAM, you don't have enough? Wham, you get hit. Should've been alleviated somewhat by TBC and folks going off to Outland, looks like it hasn't helped much.

Not sure, if it's possible, considering I know little of laptops, but if it's at all possible, up that RAM to 1024. XP itself needs about 256 to begin with, looks like you got a integrated vid-card onto the motherboard and that leeches RAM away as well. Means, you don't have a lot left for places like cities.

You need more ram bro... I had the same problem when I had that amount of ram. I put in another 512 giving me a gig. My problem was gone. For the most part. It still jumps a very little, but nothing like it was.

It was too the point where I didnt even want to play because of the lag.
