[IDEA] Tooltip TheoryCraft type mod

Alright, this mod might already exist, but I can’t find it anywhere.

Basically I’m looking for a TheoryCraft type mod, but for the tooltip.

Let me explain:

Basically what I want to know is if there is a mod like TheoryCraft but that gives stats in the tooltip. So lets say I’ve got my DPS gear on, and a Helm of Ultramega drops, I’d like to hover over it so that the tooltip pops up, and in the tooltip, I’d like to see something like: Current DPS = 457.8 New DPS = 453.6 Current Crit % = 22.1% New Crit % = 22.0As you can see, the "Current" would be what you are wearing NOW and the "New" would be reflecting the stats you would have if you equipped the "Helm of Ultramega" that dropped. This is because sometimes you think it’s a minor upgrade with Crit Raitings and Hit Raitings and whatnot, but since we aren’t computers ourselves, it’s very hard to make out the most minor of improvements from the most minor of gimpings.

So does anyone know about a mod like this?

If it doesn’t exist, do you think it’d be a good mod to request development for? I’m sure many would love something like this.

Could call it something like: TweakTip or ToolTweak because it'd be great for any kind of minor Tweaking to your toon.

That would be a great addon. With some sort of interface to tick off what stats you want compared, such as dodge, AP, + hit etc.

Basically I thought up a few new things.

There could be the initial field that I explained with the “Current” and the “New”.

Also as the next poster suggested, maybe an interface where you can select the things you want to report, such as DPS, HPS, Crit %, Hit %, Spell Crit %, Dodge %, Resistances, etc… (of course there’s much more, but lets start with the basics and work from there. I’d even beta test it and report everything.)

Another thing, maybe have a suggestion like a brief summary, such as:

Examples: Suggestion: Pass, -15.4 DPS, -0.2 Crit%, +1.0 Dodge%
Suggestion: Imporvement, +6 DPS, -0.1 Crit%, +0.4 ToHit%
Suggestion: Improvement, +12 SR, +30 Stam, -16 Agi, +20 AP
Not sure if you understand what I mean by these suggestions, but it’d be like the very last line in the tooltip. And of course, for that last suggestion, the shadow resistance, it’d be assuming the gear you have on at that moment, you’d actually have to equip all of your real shadow gear in order to really see how much of an improvement it would be.

Here's an example, lets say I have a good blue bow equipped, but I go to the vendor and see this... I hover my mouse over the item to see the tooltip pop up:

Basically, it would factor in ALL your equipment in order to report the DPS and so on, but in the suggestion field it would only report the stats that change from THAT specific slot. In this case, your ranged slot.
