Hello everyon, i am a bit worried about the vista issues and wow...

I have oredered a new laptop with the following specs:

# 2.16ghz CPU (Dual Core 2)
# 2 GIG DDR Memory (677MHZ)
# 120 GB Hard Drive
# Windows Vista Home Premium
# 512MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ 7950 Go GTX graphics card, PCI-Express x16
# DVDRW Drive
# Built in Wireless
# 17" True Life Screen

its the dell xps m1710 prolly most of you know it

The problem is thought that BASTARD dell now only provides laptops with Windows Vista:(

Would u reckon the framerates in wow will have an insane framerate decrease making it almost unplayable or the specs are high enough to "only" lose 5-10 framerates?:(

Moreover, another question bit more nubish this time:p:
I have a copy of the burning crusade cd and one of the normal that i installed in my old pc will i have to buy new cds or the cd-key can be used in more than one computer??

And last but not least, since i have never had to uninstall and reinstall wow, after the first cd will i have to download all the patches or the burning crusade cover from wow 1 to expansion? If not what patches will i need? my guess is full pack till 1,12 + 1.12-->2.00???

Thanks in advance!

Well,
1] Dell will ship ONLY with WHQL drivers [100.65 is the latest] so performance should not be an issue.
2] Burn your entire WoW folder to a DVD, copy to your new lappy, and play. The first time you play the Games menu will pick up the new game and add it to the Start Menu for you, although it currently runs the Wow.exe, not the launcher.
3] You can use the same key on more than one PC but you don't need to re-install, just copy the folder. You need one CD-Key per account, not per PC.

If you are buying in the States look at their website. When you customize the systems, the fourth "prebuilt" has an option to Customize with Windows XP.

You could get a cross-over network cable and just copy it across too. Or - if you have a multi-port router / switch just plug it in and get that home network working for you
