As the title says, I've got game freezing every 10 seconds, where I can run around and such but noone else moves and I'm getting no data from the server. After 10 seconds I can play for about 10 seconds and then a new freeze comes. This is highly annoying as it means I can't do an instance, especially not heal.

Got a tracert to the realm if it helps, but I can't see the reason for it - Seeing WHERE the lag starts doesn't help with WHY it starts.

I've heard some people say that addons can cause this but addons shouldn't connect to the internet as far as i know and I can't see how it could create connection lag.

Anyone else getting this problem, and if you have, have you found a way to reduce it / remove it completely?

[EDIT] I decided to give cleaning up amongst my addons a try and removed 2/3 which I don't used that much and it did indeed ease up the lag by about 50% - Still getting ability lagg while fighting, casting animation longer than should be etc.

[EDIT2] Logged out and decided to turn off all addons and see if all lagg dissappeared. It didn't. Running out of ideas here, HEEELP. :ponder:

...how fast is your internet connection? coz maybe youre experiencing the lag on your ISP... even though your connection might be DSL/Broadband, check if the ISP experiences technical difficulties and drops frequently, stuff like that. it might also help if you check your other hardware, like your ethernet card (how fast is its rate in mbps).

need a little more info - what kind of lags are you getting? <1000ms? >1000ms? how much ram in the PC, what kind of graphics card, processor, O/S. internet speed helps a little, but i've seen WoW work fine on 56k dialup w/ a good rig. honestly, the fact that you cleared your addons and the "lag" eased points more to a system bottleneck, more likely in the memory (RAM) area
