Just starting out on WoW, does anybody have any suggestions about how to find names for my character and which race and class to choose for an inexperienced newbie.
Thanks

Race and class - right here (http://forums.worldofwar.net/showthread.php?t=384954). Well, class at least. And look - it's only 3 from the top in the Newcomer Forum where you posted this.

The most important thing is to choose something you would like to play. Forget going for "The most powerful", etc. The most powerful class is the one you enjoy the most - as simple as that.

Once you've picked your class, pick the race that you like the look of the most. If you're going to be looking at it for 70 levels, be sure you pick something that will have lasting appeal. All the rest disappear through the game and while racials can play some role it's smallish in general. Once you've picked a class though we can discuss optimal race choices there.

As to names, have a look at any baby name website. There are some fantasy themed websites too, but I'm too lazy this morning to search for them

Everything Tanitha says is right...all the time. And spend a little time browsing previous posts in this forum. You will learn lots.

The sky is green. With purple spots. Yup. Purple spots.

Just to relieve some of the inevitable pressure on me now ;)

Ok... *takes away a half-emptied bottle of Elghinn's karliik*
That type of stuff isn't meant for you humans, so stay out of my wine cellar already. You're liable to kill yourself, considering some of the liquids I've stored down there.

Oh no Valas! And I was just starting to have fun down there. *hic* Of course, they should make bottled water cheaper than whiskey (http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/medicalnews.php?newsid=63738).

actually the most powerful class is the one you suck the least with, which may or may not be the class you enjoy the most :)

you can only sheep 3x... and the 3rd time will last about 2 seconds :p so i'm guessing you haven't actually played or fought a mage :)

Actually, she's just heavily intoxicated. Drow wine tends to contain between 80 to 100% alcohol and Death's head as we call it, is one of the strongest brews we got. So she should be seeing pink elephants right about now, followed up by turquoise griffins. Doesn't help that to non-drow it's got hallucinatory effects as well, this well beyond the usual effects that alcohol can have on a person to begin with.

Of course, she's a kiwi, so we all know they can hold their own better than the rest of us. :)
