I just spent half my money on the 8 rockets and 2 cluster fireworks, launched them just at the Darnassus entrance and when I went back to get my free ticket to the Lunar Festival I got zip, nada. NONE of the fireworks registered on the quest. Has this happened to anyone else?:'(

Did you launch them where there is a light beam?

You have to use the launchers next to the Quest giver.

If you are a Nelf in Darnassus of low level this is a really good quest for you to do.

Once you complete, teleport to Moonglade, go and chat to the NPC in the town. Once you have done that, look for the Human celebration from Stormwind, or the Dwarf celebration from Ironforge.

Use your scroll to teleport to either SW or IF, pick up the flight paths in both cities and save yourself a run through The Wetlands.

You can then hearth back to Darnassus, knowing that when you make it to Menethral later you'll already be able to fly straight to IF

I have had this issue actually. I launched the fireworks and I know I did it in the right place because one actually registered with the quest but the others didn't. I'm going to try one more time and then say screw it if nothing happens for me!

Thanks Dark Matter, after rebuying them etc I finally got the ticket... could you please tell me what all is involved with doing the teleports to the other places? Cost, difficulty for a level 10 warrior, as well as if you know, how many of those ancient coins do I need to get the festival dress....

Oh yea, what does hearth back mean?

Doing the Quest is free. Using the quest to get the Flight Paths in Ironforge and Stormwind is free, but will need a plan.

Hearth back means using your Hearthstone to return to the Inn you have set as your homebase. If you haven't spoken to an inn-keeper yet, it will hearth you back to the start area you first appeared at.

Assuming you are lvl 10/11 find the Inn in Darnassus (ask a guard for directions), talk to the Innkeeper and click the option to set that Inn as your home. You will get a confirmation pop-up.

When you completed the firework quest, the NPC should have given you a Lunar Scroll - it has a purple ribbon around it, and a follow-up quest. Make sure you have the quest and that the scroll is in your bag.

Go back to the quest giver and next to him/her is a circle of light that is empty. Not the one with the Elder in it. Go into the middle of the empty moonlight, open your bag and click the scroll.

You will be teleported to moonglade.

You will arrive in athe party area, lots of people laughing, dancing and setting off fireworks. The eight major factions (Forsaken, Orc, Troll, Tauren, Human, Night Elf, Gnomes and Dwarves are all there dancing around 6 big moonbeams, one for each major city)

All of the opposing factions, and the Moonglade Cenarion Guards will be yellow. DO NOT ATTACK ANY OF THEM. the guards will instantly kill you and you will be pvp flagged if you are on a pve server. If your server is PvP you MIGHT be attacked by another player, but not one of the NPCs afaik.

Once you have arrived in moonglade, find the main road and follow it until you get to the town. Look for the Night Elf to complete your quest. This is also the place where you hand in your Elder Moon Tokens for the Suit you want. It will cost 5 tokens.

Have a look around.

Go back to the arrival point and nearby you will find the Alliance Flight Point for Moonglade. Talk to the Hippogryph master to get the FP.

Go back to the party area. You can now use your scroll to teleport to any alliance capital city - it has a 10 minute cooldown. I suggest that you go to Stormwind.

Find the Moonbeam with the Humans all dancing around it. Go into the middle and click your scroll and you should be teleported to Stormwind. If you go to the Dwarves and Gnome party, you will be teleported to Ironforge.

Once you are in Stormwind, talk to a guard and ask them where the Griphon Master is - they will tell you and mark your map. You need a stationary guard, not one who patrols. Press M to bring up your map and you should see a Red flag making the flight point. Make your way there and talk to the Griphon Master to get the FP.

Then ask a guard where the Deeprun Tram is - it's in the Dwarven District of SW. Again he will mark your map. Press M and go find the tram. Enter the tram - it's like a big glowing barrier in front of you - just walk through it. Once inside wait for the tram and get on it. It will take you to Ironforge.

Once in Ironforge, ask a guard where the Griphon Master is (he's in the middle, by the Great Forge) and get that FP too. You will now be able to fly from IF to SW if you want. It's an amazing flight the first time you do it.

If I were you I would take time to explore both Stormwind and Ironforge as they are both wonderful cities if you have never seen them before.

Once you have your Flight Points, you can click the Hearthstone in your bag to return to Darnassus.

Later in the game, you will have quests that lead you to IF and/or SW. There is a boat from Darnasuss that takes you to Auberdine. From Auberdine there is another boat that will take you to Menethril Harbour. Right by the harbour is a Griphon Master - talk to him and you will then be able to fly from Menethril to Ironforge. Usually you would have to run from Menethril to Ironforge, which is a long run past some angry crocodiles, Raptors and spiders who don't like level 10 characters :D

Hope all this is clear.

WoW! Great guide Dark Matter, except for the Alliance Flight Master in Moonglade, the only two I could find were the druid only ones in the town and a hordes one close to the arrival point, which I did NOT try to click on as it kept showing on the mouseover that I would be attacking him.:undecided:

Could you please clarify if the one for Moonglade is within the same immediate area of the festival or do I need to find another obscure area close to it? Oh and I agree about the Felwood run, I died too....

The ally FP is east of the celebration place, along the road, over two bridges I believe and to the south side of the road, up a bit of a slope. You'll find the master with a green ! over her head.
