View Full Version : Doing All Quests in All Areas

Hi, I'm new to the forum and to the game. I have a slight obsessive nature, and I was thinking of doing each and every available quests, just to get my pally's reputation up in all the factions. For example, taking my level 20 pally to the starting areas of the dwarves/gnomes and doing those level 1-6 quests.

Is this a total waste of time? If it is, then I won't do it and instead concentrate on skilling and levelling up. But if there is some benefit to doing all these quests, then could someone explain what the benefits are?

Waste of time? Nope, unless the quest has a gray name. Quests give good exp, a good motivator to grind and always have some real good money and items as rewards.

Quests with gray names won't benefit much. There's no exp and the rewards will be mediocre for your level.

As above once the quest is greay unless the reward is worth getting i would ditch them !

I wouldn't worry about doing the beginner quests in other starting areas. Once you're in a different faction's area, i.e. IF or SW, the quests you can get for your level will give you all the rep you need.

Doing the start quests of other factions will give you a decent rep boost if thats what you want. However I would wait until you are high level so that you can get through them extra quickly

Grey quests give XP, just very little.

And skipping grey quests is not always a good idea, because its possible that quest will start a chain of quests.

Clearing a zone of all quests is a good way to level up, but you might miss out on another zones content because you're already past its level range.

Your choice though. Once the quests go green for me, I normally start moving towards the next zone. And if the quest requires an excessive amount of travel time, I might just skip it.

You can look up quests by region, or other search criteria at Link nuked, Sorry, but we do mind the adds. Plus, our own map section (http://www.worldofwar.net/cartography/) already gives a decent indication as to where you want to be poking around at which level. Signed, Valas. (don't mind the annoying ads). This will tell you much, including exp and rep gained, as well as if it is a chain quest.

Sorry for the late reply... too busy playing WoW, lol!

Yeah, I tried doing some of the grey quests, and after a bit it got really tedious, so I skipped it.

I'm now doing what you guys suggested, which is to do grey quests only if the rewards are worth it, otherwise I'll skip them. I'd rather spend my time with quests that offer greater benefits for my level.

This game is too vast (not that it is a bad thing) to do the type of play I'm used to, which is to do everything.

Running all quests for every level-appropriate area will take you from level 1 to level 60 - after one continent. And a sixth or tenth of the other one. Roughly.

I'm as obsessive as you when it comes to questing. Don't do everything, because there's far too much. Do what's around you, and what's appropriate, and there's plenty enough there to be obsessive about.

Besides, the other continent is what alts are for.

My advice is to just level up by doing quests only and no grinding at all unless you have to in a quest. It will give you all the rep you need. If later on you still want more rep then do some of the lower level quests seeing as how now you can zip right through them.
