Minions : Confused

I'm a level 21 Nightelf Warrior. When i was about level 10 I somehow ( don't know how ) had a little minion following me around. After a few hours it disappeared which was a shame as I had become quite attached.
How do I go about getting another minion, where can I find out about them ?? are they any use ??:shocked: :tongue:

There are loads of minion minipets in the game. Everything from rabbits, cockroaches, kittens and worg pups to mechanical squirrels and the oh-so-cool mana wyrmlings available from Netherstorm. You can probably find several kinds of pet on the AH, and some are available from quests at various stages of the game. They are summoned from an object that you keep in your bag, so they will be available whenever you want them.

I'm a bit odd, all my characters (on both factions) have mechanical squirrels.

Wasn't there some type of cat related quest with a figurine around Auberdine. Could be he's talking about that.

You know, when I did the quest with the nagas, i kept finding the cat figurines, but they didn't do anything. I wondered if they were related to some quest, but I did every quest in Darkshore, and I never got anything about it. Did anyone else?

Nah. They can give you a one-shot pet for a short while and you can time the ghost saber that spawns randomly off of 'em.

Hunters can tame them, however- and have a transparent kitty of their own.

Maybe was the pet given from a rare elemental/quest near the falls north of the map at Teldrassil. You have luck if you find him while doin the quest given in Darnassus about to get 5 Tumors.

The reward from the item droped by the rare elemental is a minion elemental level 5 or 10 not sure and it will help you for about 30 minutes or till it die.
