I need to train my Alchemy to Artisan, and need to get to Feathermoon Stronghold, Feralas. What is the best way for a LVL 35 mage to get there, or is it too soon for me to attempt this? My closest flight tie is Astranaar, but I also have Ratchet and Theramore.

I'd take that one from Astranaar. Head down through Stone Talon and grab the flight point there. Then head south into Desolace and grab Nijels' Point. You can then just cross through Desolace, do a bit of Feralas (That will be the danger point for you) and hit Feathermoon Stronghold. It's reasonably safe in the water as well - my druid friend did that run around the same level and went seal form in the water.

Look at the Cartography section on the site for the relevant maps if you haven't seen those areas before.

You can also do Ratchet, head SW until you reach a road. Follow that road all the way south until you get to a huge cliff. There will be two Horde guards there, but if you time it right you can jump on the elevator and be home free. Once down the elevator follow the road to the west. It is right there as soon as the ground goes from sand to Grass.

Hmmmm, neither of those worked. First I can't get through the mountains in Astranaar, and with the other route I get killed big time at the Horde Camp Mojache. Any ideas on either of these issues?

You need to follow the road through from Astranaar and through Stone Talon. It's signposted.

Here is a map:

Sorry about the "Its as soon as you walk into Feralas" idea...I thought it was a different spot.

You can walk south and jump into a river, swim across a little pond, and get back on the road.

Once you reach the western ocean, there is a little dock, looks like a sideways L on the map. Take that boat to the island.
