anyone know what's the cheapest but still quick way to level it up? aka which pots vs other pots. Don't really need anything but the skill.

No idea....but one thing that will save you SOME in the future is to obtain the potions/elixirs/transmutes you need to be a potion/elixir/transmute master.

That way you don't have to do it twice!

Well, the absolute cheapest is to be an herbalist...my alch dude went from 300-375 with ZERO cost, in a week.

Unstable Mana and Healing get you through the early 10 or 20 points. You can usually find enough Terocone off Bog Giants in Zanga to make Elixirs of Mastery though 30ish. From there Super Healing (which means lots of hard to find Dreaming Glories), and catch as catch can. Once you hit 350 you get transmutes. Quest to get money for your vials, because Imbued is a fine money sink. It's all hard, all of the recipes dump to green and grey far far faster than you'd like. You'll be lucky to have two orange recipes at any given time, and usually long before you can find ingredients for them.

I'm at 352 at level 64, and mainly because I'm obsessive-compulsive about grabbing every resource I see.

No guide can help you. Just get into the thick of it.

Yeah, I had no issues leveling alchemy to 350 without much trouble... made onslaught pots for the hunters in my guild (and my, I'm a feral druid). I made some elixirs of mastery. Terracone can be found around the forest areas in Tekkar. Super healing pots can be made up to 350. Then you can transmute primal mights.

Once you hit the higher areas and can get nightmare vine and netherbloom you can use super mana pots or major dreamless sleep pots to go higher. I'm at 363, but mainly because I don't really care to hit 375 until I do. At 363, Major dreamless sleep is still orange.

My rogue is outland ready (just hit 55 last night, but was in the outlands at 50 learning alchemy). My main provided him the mats. All the pots I mention are either trainable or purchasable from venders. No rep needed (since he can't get any anways =).

Alchemy is SOOO much easier than any of the other crafting perfessions. My wife is a leatherworker and is painfully leveling... she is about to hit 370. and hit 350 weeks ago.

Major dreamless sleep is yellow at 365, but the only potion I have that was still orange at that level took Primal Mana. MDS is still yellow at 370, so I'm going to try to get the rest of the points that way rather than blowing Primal Mana on the arcane resistance potions.

thought i would chime in. Yesterday I listened to you guys. Farmed mat's for pot's and elixers. I'm going for elixer mastery, so made most of those type. Thinking that maybe I shoulda went pot (due to the guild really needing pot's in some battles). But overall I'm happy with my choice.
Went from 300 to 338 (herbs are now at 375) no problem with farming most the mat's. I'll say that the best place to go is zangmarsh. That places is wonderful for farming felweed and afew others.
I also did waste some time at the table of elements farming some motes.

I went transmute mastery, and in six primal might transmutes have gotten two free ones...

And, what is really cool is that I don't use my own mats...I gave away the transmutes and kept the extra ones for myself. (a free 200g FTW)

Beruen, you might farm up a couple primal mana's from netherstorm. You can get them relatively quick and arcane resist pots will make running Botanica a bit easier. It might make getting those last few points easy.

I personally am not pushing for 375. My rogue is 55, so he can't get any of the high level recipes really. They're all rep or BoP instance/world drops in the outlands. He's climinb the ladder... 3 more levels and he'll go check out hellfire.

Smartshot, Zangermarsh is an herbalists dreamland... but doesn't provide all the necessary mats. Terracone is found in Takkar forest (you'll hit there next). When you get to 68-70, Netherbloom is from netherstorm and Nightmare Vine is from Shadowmoon valley.

Whenever I see netherbloom, I say I'm gonna play Netherbloom Roulette. When you pick it, you get either +50 or -50 to one stat for 15m.

Primal mana was mostly a pain because I was looking in the wrong place. The mana wraiths are not what you want to hunt for that stuff if you're a hunter. They're immune to too much stuff (just about the only thing I've ever found immune to hunters mark) and finding your way to the corpse can be interesting at times if you kill them at range. The mana seekers and mageslayers are easier, more convenient targets, though they're also a very common quest target, so I try not to grind there when there's other players there.

Still, even after finding a better way to grind motes of mana, the nightmare vine is much easier to come by than primal mana. I might only come up with 10 nightmare vine an hour (a conservative estimate, I usually come up with more if that's what I'm there for), but there's no way I'm going to come close to 100 motes an hour (which is what I would need for 10 primals).
