How much time do you spend on WoW, each day?

Hi,

I'm new to this forums, as you probably can see. :smiley:
I have taken up a project to investigate WoW in all its aspect, but covering how dedicated people really are (statistic) to WoW.

Therefore, I will start a poll where you can select the number of hours you spend on playing WoW each day (average). And if you will, tell more detailed about it in post. The poll is not public. The poll is only about playing WoW, not including writing in forums or something similar.

I hope the community will help me with my personal project.

Are you including time spent on the forums too? The people who spend their time on the forums, being a self-selecting sample of a rather specialised section of the player base, will naturally give you fairly skewed results.

But just to disprove that - I play around an 8 hours per week on average, so just over an hour a day. But, most of that is on Saturday and Sunday.

But about once a month I'll go on a binge, and play 16+ hours in a weekend.

And just for the fun of it - I typically spend around 10 hours a day logged into the forums, refreshing "New Posts" every once in a while.

I average aroun 2-3 hours a day. About 20 hours a week. Somedays I'll just log for 10 mins to check the mail/AH. Others I'll go for a 5 hour WoW fest. It's quite random, like most facets of my life ;D

That is daily - I work on a dual screen setup here so keep the forums open while I'm working. But I'm a bit of a forum addict :grin:

I typically play 3-5 hours a day. I work the night shift so when you get off work at 1am there is not much to do other than play games. As far as forums go, I am logged in usually my entire work day so about 9-10 hours in the forum.

I've gone for the first option 0-2 per day as I reckon I do about 6-8 hours a week over two sessions. Mind you, I did a 7 hour session last week and that's probably my limit because I went straight to bed afterwards and couldn't get to sleep for the sound of spells and monsters ringing in my ears. I never get to play more than twice a week. If I had the time I bet I could put away 3 hours a day.

Most days it's 0-2 hours and on the weekends it might be 2-5 hours. Then again on days off of work i have been knon to put7-9 hours :P

13 hours per day more sometimes, but rarely less, not on the same char tho, mostly lvling alts now, more time spent on main when other guildies can play.

i usually play 2-3 hours a day. depends on my mood..if i feel in a "killer" mode then might play for 4hrs. i want to clarify that i am not a game addict or something! i just love the game..!:grin:

A year ago I would have said something like 5+ hours a night but since I my break from WoW (friends called it an intervention, even though they had nothing to do with it) I've managed to keep it under two hours daily. With the occasional weekend splurge mind you. =)

Which as most know is not even enough to run an instance.
On the weekend, depending on if I'm at a L.A.N. or whatnot... I may play 3-8 hours a day on weekends.

Well let's see. Out of the Mon/Tue/Thu/Sun guild 4-hour runs/raids I usually do 3 of them. So that's 12 hours. Add about 8 more random grinding, AHing, whatever hours. I'd say 20 hours/week right now, which is muuuuch less than before.

Factor in my very frequent long weekends away snowboarding in winter and kiteboarding in summer, I'd say that an estimated annual average right now is about 12 hours/week.

I do have the occasional weekend day when I spend 8-12 hours non-stop playing, armed with some beers, pizzas and rolling material, but it hasn't happened for a couple of months now at least. Come to think of it, although I still like to play WoW, it has definitely lost its edge with me.

I play anywhere from 0 to 2 hours on weekdays, and 0 to 5 hours on weekenddays. Last week I didnt play at all, this week I've played 3 hours so far. It used to be 2 hours+ daily :)

To cover ALL aspects of WOW.....but only focusing on the amount of time someone plays...

As you can see by the results so far, you should have chopped off the upper times, and spread out the lower ones.
