Cant install game, need help and cant use blizzard forums

Hi im trying to install the game and it keeps coming up with this error.

Couldn't decompress Ogg data: ov_open_callbacks=-132. If this problem persists, please contact Blizzard Technical Support. (InstallerDecompressOgg)

Well i got the game brand new, never opened. I hope it isnt. Well i got an e-mail to them regarding it but any other input from you guys would be appreciated

I could be wrong but I believe you can download the client online, then just use the CD key that came with your case...

I'm not sure if that's possible but it's worth checking out. Try on Bliz's main site (if it's not there I'd definately not try to download it from another site)

Try copying the entire set of CDs to a new folder on your hard drive and install it from there.

I had problems installing TBC but got around them using this method. The CDs simply wouldn't install, but would from the copies.

I copied the 5 disks to a folder but when i try to install from there i get this error now

The installer was unable to read the file "<unknown>". This error may be caused by problems with the media or drive at --for example, a scratched or dirty CD-ROM/DVD-ROM, hard drive corruption, or a networking problem while downloading the installer. Ya, i decided to do that after nothing would work, Sure does take a long time tho, i started at 7 PM last night and its 10AM right now and its only at 50%

One more thing, If i download the trial version from blizzard could i still use the CD key that came with my WoW CD's? you get 1 month free when you use the one from the box right? also if you can download the game why do they sell it in stores? haha

Well i hope this download works and doesnt come up with any errors, been waiting to play this game since it came out :P

The CD key is for the account. Create an account with your CD and play with that instead of the trial account details. The client is just that, an empty vassal containing all the data with no personalisation. There is no "Trial client" and "Retail client", they're one and the same program, file for file.
