Have been picking up every quest I have come across, but at times I outlevel the content of the more out of the way quests. Looking at my quest log and rewards, there is really no items I need from them, other than the exp, which I can get just plain killing things. Is there any negative side to just abondoning quests? I do complete about 75% of the quests I have started. Other than that, I am working my skinning/LW skills at all time. with that in mind, where do I head for good exp/quests, once Auberdine(sp?) quests are pretty much done. Thanks for your input. Well you get reputation for some of the quests. If you dont care about that, then no it really wont hurt you.

There are no negatives to not completing a quest. Nothing will happen if you do. You could play pretty much the entire game without ever doing a quest (though you would miss out on a lot, and a lot of upper level instances require quests to be done to get further).

As Magikhat said, a lot of quests, especially in the beginning areas, give Reputation rewards upon completion. You definitely want to get to Honoured with your Allied Faction members, as this gives you a 10% discount on purchases with vendors of that faction. Also, if you want a mount from a different race of your faction, you need to get to Exalted with them.

There are also numerous factions out there that provide you with items you can purchase from them once you're at a particular level of reputation with them (rare enchants, items, etc.)

Also, some quests are actually part of a chain of quests, meaning that you have to finish the one you're currently doing before you can get the next part of the quest, or to 'unlock' someone else into giving you a quest.

There are also Class quests that you will definitely want to do, as they often give you abilities that are fundamental to your class (for example, the Priest and Paladin get quests to learn their resurrection spells).

From Auberdine, you'll want to follow the questlines you probably have, as they send you south into Ashenvale, which would be your next area of questing.

Check out www.questkeep.com to look up quests that you're working on, and to see what type of rewards they give, such as experience or just money.
