Has anyone run Karazhan yet?

I got my key from the Black Morass a couple days ago in an almost guild group (four from our guild, one from an "alliance" guild). We were all happy; no deaths throughout the entire time, burned down the Rift Lords fast enough to take a full rest in between, didn't use the chronobeacons until the final boss (only one of us used it, actually), and the guy's shield didn't drop at all until the final boss, and we managed to finish with it at 96% health.

But that's beside the point. Has anyone gone through Karazhan yet? Is it really as hard as people say it is? I've heard it's as difficult as Molten Core, just with thirty less people. And what kind of items drop? Kara is the Tier 5 stuff, correct?

In all honesty Molten Core wasn't really very difficult. Most of the fights there were a tank and spank with lots of decursing in between. Also you could afford to take a few duff players into MC to make up the numbers. In Kara, as it's only a 10 man, you don't have that luxury.

Karazhan is more difficult than that but easier than something like BWL I would say. Some of the fights are pretty straightfoward but others require some nailed down tactics and individual responsiblity - something you didn't find that much in MC.

Several guilds already have Kara on farm status, some have even cleared gruul's lair.

my mage ( 7k life ) dies from one hit of a trashmob. maybee two if i am lucky. Bosses onehit me regulary.

We have killed 5 bosses there so far, but i have to say, i learned again not to pull agro ^^

Karazhan is Tier 4, 2 items drop there. All in all, from what gets linked in guildchat (one group is in there from our guild/raidgroup), it is not necessarily superior to what drops in other "normal" Instances (like I said..5 bosses down)

Well...at least this is my impression so far...
