Ive been messing with charecters over a few weeks and ive liked the gnome but ime wondering this: if i were a gnome what class is best to be an engineer and can anyone tell me what helpful cool things i could build
There are some classes who can make more use of engineering stuf then others. However there is no class which is better in making em.
And some usefull stuff include repairbots, underwater helmets, grenades, mechanical yetis, shockpaddles, and guns

Hm, this is perhaps the silliest question i've ever heard...what "class" would go good with a race/profession? lol. The question should be..what race/profession goes good with the class. It's the class that matters more imo.

I find that engineering works well with casters, you can make a bunch of goggles with casting stats, and Hunters because you can make guns and ammo and stuff.
Other than that there is just general utility stuff that everyone can use.

Yup the class matters alot more than the profession.
But on topic:
Warrior: Can use all of the enginering stuff. Benefits from bombs, and death ray (ranged finish). It can use pretty much everything (except the mana injectors) and you can use the guns / amo.
Rogue: Can use Vanish / jumpercables. Very nice combo to save your group from a wipe.
Mage: Can use mana injector for an extra pot.
Warlock: Can healthstone, so not much need for injectors, dosent realy gain anything except bombs / pets.
*Edit: Yes i forgot about googles, they can be usefull for casters*
All of them gain utility with the extra gadgets, but dont choose "one" because it gains the most from it. Yes warriors can use all the stuff, but they dont "need" it. Yes rogues can jumpercable, but thats what soulstones are for. Go for whatever class you like the most, as you'll be using you class abilitys more than your egineering ones.

IMHO the majority of Engineering are PvP related more than PvE related. You have lots of things which stun and do a smallish amount of damage to both you and the target. Well the smallish amount of damage does little to a PvE mob with 5* your health.
So If you wanna PvP, gnome engineer warlocks are DEADLY.
