BE mount for undead

is there any "easy" way for an undead to get the BE mount? I don't mind starting at level 1. If I immediately go to the BE lands and do all the BE quests will that get me enough faction to get the BE mount at 40? I really love the look of the "chocobo" and think an undead warrior would look awesome on it.

Probably not. When you get to Ghostlands, you really don't get BE faction, but rather you get Tranquillen faction. You can get some more BE faction in Outland in Hellfire Peninsula from what I've seen. BE's have a much easier time getting Undead faction than the other way around. But in the end, you're going to end up needing Runecloth turn-ins to finish it off. Not nearly as many as you used to need, but still a good amount.

I've done it before, when the Runecloth system was just implemented... And I say I spent around 2500 gold... But I think handing in more Runecloth gives you more rep since those days, although I might be wrong.

I couldn't guess. That greatly depends on the economy of your particular server. Some servers sell runecloth at higher prices than others -- sometimes significantly so. That said, there are not that many Silvermoon City faction quests in the game. I think there may actually be more Darkspear Trolls faction quests than Silvermoon City.

It would be faster to do AV turn ins.... But that requires you to be 51+ I beleive, and I'm not even sure there is a AV bracket with activity below the 61-70 bracket.

wowhead.com can do this. I just ran a search for stormwind rep (I have a dreanai, but he doesn't like elephants)

You can get atleast to honered in the belf starting zone. Yes ghostlands dosent have any silvermoon quests, but other zones do! There are a few belfs added to alot of the horde outposts around Azeroth, so you can get rep from them as you go along. (Ones that come to mind are in STV and Duskwallow)

You can also do "Horde" quests, as they give a bit of rep to all factions.

that would be correct.. you get 75 rep versus 50 for handing in runecloth..

and for comparison, on my server (well established economy), it cost me around 1k gold at the AH and 20-25 hours of farming Tyr's hand in EPL for runecloth (I drained the AH dry every day) to get from revered to exalted for my chocobo.. on my undead mage.

so unless you have the cash or the patience to farm for runecloth, it's a rough rep grind.... but farming tyr's hand will yield quite a bit of runecloth (average of 1 per mob, but they drop up to 4 per mob) and plenty of green's to de (have gotten one epic, soj, as well), so it's not too bad if farming was on your agenda anyhow. As a mage, aoe'ing the place at 70 is a snap.

so i used the wowhead filter to find all my delicious silvermoon rep quests. I cross with thottbot for the first few to see if they are BE only. I make a new undead warrior and run all the way to magistrix elona. and she wont give me the quests. Are the starting quests race specific? Does anyone have an idea when I can start doing the quests on Sunstrider Isle.

Am I missing something? Why can't I do this quest as a level 2 undead warrior?

My roommate made a petition about those starting quests being unable to be done by his tauren druid. The response was "this issue is known, and is being looked into." My guess is, it isn't as high a priority as other things. Like fixing the credits.

Ah that's the very first BE quest. If you roll a BE, the first thing you will ever do is kill mana wyrms... that might have something to do with it

... the second thing for me was going.... eugh... back to my night elf but that's another topic
