How many lvl 70's would it take to take down rend and drak? Good healer and tank.

I'd imagine you'll need 5 for Drakk since someone will still have to kite him away or tank him while 2 others have to take down the others. Probably a Tank for Drakk, an OT for one of them and then maybe a Hunter with a good tanking pet could at least hold the third until the first is down. Or have the hunter kite Drakk as usual and have the other 4 down the adds (probably a better way actually).

There is no way to skip the Blackhand Rend event.

At the top of the arena, where most groups "jump down", you can instead go to the right, and work your way around to the room behind the "rend arena" room.

There is a gate there (that leads up to the "beast" area) that remains closed until you defeat Rend.

This is the way Blizzard intended UBRS to be run, most groups just jump down and skip about 8 mobs total (two groups of four I think).

Post deleted by noob poster who didn't fully read the preceding post =].

I thought the right turn on the way to the arena was a way to skip it, but had never took it before. Then I really read the above post =]

A group of seven of us (four 70s, three in mid-60s) went through UBRS, and made it to and killed the General so we could get both BWL and Ony attunes.

We had a 70 pally attack Drakk. One priest healed him, well the rest of us focused on killing his two companions. They went down in maybe twenty seconds, then we all focused on Drakk and brought him down in under a minute. Hardly any health loss on anybody.

The group consisted of the pally, two priests (a holy one healing the tank, and myself, a shadow), a mage, and three others I can't remember. It was quite easy, and we did it in just under half an hour.

Do you think you could have 4-manned it?

Id bet it could be 4maned very easily

There is a vid out somewhere showing a pally, war, priest 3maning it up to the beast at lvl 60, so...4at 70 seems reasonable. You Have to remember at 70, we will dodge ALOT and resist ALOT more against the lvl 60-61 mobs over in those instances.

yes... all those things that hurt at 70 get resisted or mitigated at 70

In a solo Sunken temple run I resisted everything.

I'm thinking a couple of hunters and a pally could do it too, or even a pally and a hunter

Considering we killed Venoxis and Mandokir 5-man Monday night I don't see how you'd need 5 for UBRS? Those are both off-tank situations too usually.
