Goblin Jumper Cables

I made my Goblin Jumer Cables some time ago before i chose which route to take.

I chose Gnome, but can still use the Goblin Jumper Cables (level 165).

Is it possible that if i ask a goblin engineer to make the Goblin Jumper Cables XL i'll be able to use them?

A friend told me i could, but i'm not sure. I thought they were BoP, but the recipe doesn't tell me, only says what it makes.

yes, you have no problem to use the XL cables as gnome engineer, always look at the requirements.

Had the pattern form BRD in the bank for ages. It really doesn't say BoE or BoP though, just requires Goblin to make. Had never seen them in the AH either.

I think its 30 mins. Could be 60 though. If it works it can be as good as SS or DI.

There are 2 types, Goblin Cables and Goblin Cables XL. Obviously the XL has a higher success rate on higher level characters.

That said, i got lucky ressing our 70 priest with the low level cables in Sahttered Halls last night.

It's definitly 30 minutes , I have them on my hunter and have frequently used them to ressurect my pet (saves a ton of mana)
a godsend when grouping and no SS/ankh is available to fix that nasty wipe , when they work.
mine however seem to fail like half the time though.

Great to use as a Hunter in combination with FD (Feign Death). When nothing is going to save your group from a wipe (only then!), use FD. It's possible that everyone is yelling at you at that point, until you resurrect the priest with jumper cables and become the hero of the day!

Mages can use invisibility in the same way, if priest then tank goes down.

Also, a number of the bosses in the Outlands don't chase you to the exit if the rest of group wipes. Last boss in Sethekk Halls, 2nd boss in Shadow Labs for example. Only chase you 50 yards ish, then turn back.

The lower is skill 165. I've seen a few level 19 twinks with these - but only as a gnome (+15 eng racial). Not sure of the XL Cable skill, think its about 240.

When they work, they are truly amazing. Rezzing our guild priests as a mage gives me a hell of a lot of bragging rights in guild chat. Also worth a punt if a druids the only healer, to avoid waiting for a corpse run / wasting the half hour cool down on combat res.

However, take note that they are iffy at best. Its an attempt, not a guarentee. I'm hoping if i can use the XL cables as a gnome it'll get a bit higher working %age.
