This doesn't really seem like advertising to me. There aren't any ads on the site, and nothing to buy.

Any idea why I can't see the pictures? Could it be Java, or Mozilla?

hmm... Doesn't seem to work on normal internet browser either.

Think I've found my answer, when you look under past changes you see:
' Version 0.1 (4th March): Currently for US realms only, untested for realms with spaces and quotes. Also does not support names outside normal [A-Za-z]+ ranges.'
Since I'm on EU, that might be the problem. :)

The numbers will change depending on what buffs/equipment were on you when you logged off.
It's not an advertisement ... it's just a nifty site someone made.
The picture will not display correctly unless you spell the server name and character name absolutely correctly. I have a character on Quel'dorei and I checked the sig for "Quel'dorai". It shows code but, of course, a broken link because of my error.

Reported. advertisement.
why you post you reported someone?
Just report him.
At least when you wrongly report someone, you don't get a mod pointing out are wrong. :azn:
It's like those who say /reported or /ignored in chat... who care? just do it.

I'm willing to live up to my mistakes. It doesn't affect me at all. I just feel that reporting someone without letting them know, is like going behind their back.

Just like rogues do, and I've never ever seen a rogue telling me that he's going to backstab/ambush me before he actually does it. :)

BTW, I find pretty nice those sig, but same here, wrong AP value.

That is rather nice. And done by a Kiwi too  I just wish they'd put your actual characters' face in there, rather than the generic Blood Elf one, but that's a Blizzard issue rather than the generator.

Theres another upside to saying it's done; you save the mods 30 reports on the same thread/post.

I'm curious about the method used to parse/process the Armory data. I'd like to contact the author of this, but can't seem to find anything on how to contact that person.

That's because you're a cheater and have a 4 digit AP and you're just not supposed to have that ;)

One kind of nice use for it:
I am levelling up two level 60 undead warriors on different servers. The first was my first main, before I moved to Whisperwind, and character transfers weren't an option back then. She hadn't done ANY instancing beyond Zul'Farrak and her gear is truly awful (I mean, four pieces of Imperial Plate at level 60...), no functional guild and 4g to her name after I bought her level 60 abilities. The second is my warrior on Whisperwind, who is geared out with stuff from MC, ZG, Scholo, Strat, DM, etc., has a build guild behind her and a lot of money from my 70 main. So I specced them identically and am seeing how long it takes me to "even out".
So I made a page on my podcast forums and plan to make a new entry on my blog, and use these sig files for anyone who is interested to keep track of their progress -- even if that person is just me. It's a nice, easy, visual way to keep track of them.

If you read through 'past changes' you see it's US only. Afaik.

Well i hope you enjoyed.
Just out of curiousity darkhelm, what made you think it was and advertisment? Was it the address? Looking at my original post, perhaps I could have made note that the address IS a little funky but it is legit.
PS. I think this is pulling from the character profile from last login as my spell damage does not seem to have my fel armor up

I was defining advertisement as that you were advertising the tool in the thread. Not necessarily a "pay for this ad", more of simply advertising the signature maker.
I still am in search of a way to get the XML data that the armory server transmits, without XSLT transformation into XHTML. I'd like to incorporate that data into my personal website's sidebar, so the Armory data effectively updates the little bit of data I have in my character list sidebar.

The whole site's 503'ing. Probably too many requests for the server to handle.

It was taken down. It was getting somewhere around 40k hits an hour.
