Herb Bags???

I've just taken up herbalism for my new alt - I notice that as well as normal bags and sacks you can also get herb bags. What is the advantage of say a 12 slot herb bag over a 12 slot normal bag?

I'm assuming that they must stack more herbs - I did try and ask someone who was collecting herbs last night - but he turned out to be a bot - lol.

You cannot store more herbs in herb bags - stacking is the same in every bag.

But they reduce clutter and make it easier to organize your inventory as a herbalist. Herbs you pick up automatically go into a herb bag if you have one equipped, allowing the space in your other bags to be used for other stuff. They are also rather big. Herb Pouch (http://wwndata.worldofwar.net/item.php?id=22250), the smallest herb bag, is buyable from a vendor at a fairly low price for 12 slots. 12 slots for herbs means that you hardly have to clutter your other bags with herbs anymore, which was a pain in the neck before they were implemented.

In general, specialty bags are a lot lot cheaper and easier to get at larger sizes before regular all-purpose bags. Your 12-slot herb pouch can only carry herbs, but it's a pittance of silver compared to 12-slot Mageweave. And then the 20- and 24- slot herb bags are available for a price on auction, 28-slots are just starting to trickle out, when 20-slot general bags are uber-high end requiring your firstborn.

On an only loosly related tangent, Radhil, you mention that 28-slot bags are just starting to trickle out. I'm aware of a 28-slot bag of every speciality type EXCEPT herbalism. Are we still stuck with the 24-slot Satchel of Cenarius as the best herbalism bag? The mats aren't bad, but the rep needed to get the pattern is. CC is the hardest rep I've ever tried to work, and I gave up before honored.

If that's still the best, anyone on Norgannon alliance-side have this pattern?

Huh. I think you're right. I had seen one or two of the 28 slotters for all the other professions and just assumed there was an herb one. Crap.

yeah I was looking this up the other day. The expansion added large bags for all types other than herbalism. The only large herb bags made by tailors are ones from cenarion circle.

With the changes in rep, it's easy to gain CC rep. At level 70, I suspect you can make friendly in a couple of hours if you had no rep with them before. This gets you the 20s recipe.

The 24s recipe requires revered which will take a while.

Turning in 10 texts give you 250 rep and a field duty quest of 1 of each type of FD badge gives you 1000.

I suspect a 28s herb bag is gonna come soon. There are 28s bags for all other types.
