Moniter errors off topic ( moniter works tho=p)

Hey all ,

I have 2 PC's atm ... one of them isn't mine ( family members) and my moniter on my old PC went out so today i tried to see if i could hook my PC up to there moniter.. which i thought would work. So i hook the Power cord to my PC , the mouse/keyboard ,the moniter ,blah blah . I turn the PC on and it makes a BEEEEEP noise , No picture PC stays black and the LED light yellow. I then hook it up to the old pc and it works fine..... any idea as to what might be wrong ?

A solid beep tone means it was incorrectly wired up. I'm not saying you failed to wire it up correctly, but that's what it translates as, what it is suppose to mean. You may either damaged the motherboard, unlikely, or gotten some wire backwards. Wires are more likely.
