The real money comes from max skill. Prior to BC I could get a couple of easy hundreds per day with 300 skill just buying mats off the AH and selling them back in form of an enchantment. Now you'll need 375 skill, though I'm not really sure of how reliable that would be as I haven't leveled any of my enchanters yet. With your current level I'd say it isn't too late to switch skills in order to save some gold in the process but I must warn you, it will get expensive before it gets profitable. Good luck on whatever you may choose.
how much money do you think i'll use before i get those high lvls?

It cost me 200g to get my enchanting from 225 to 275
Then another 200g to get my enchanting from 275 to 300

where do you see the Highst costs, in leveling, involved with being an enchanter?
I've currently thinking of switching over from Blacksmithing (202).. and I have alot of Ore stored up so just wondering if you see alot of the cost from buy rods and such that i could make for myself before dropping the talent...

I'd look at your server first. I know that I didn't make much as an enchanter on mine. I was close to 300 when I dropped it for Skinning. I got skinning to 375 in one day and started making a lot of gold w/ Knothide leather.
You could easily spend 1,000g or more going from 300-375 in enchanting. Getting up to 250-275 is cake. It's past that where enchanting really eats cash.
That was one reason why I dropped it. I didn't want to spend 1,000g just to be able to stand around all day spamming enchants for free w/ mats + tip. Yawn.
If they ever (doubt it) make it to where you can make enchant packs and sell on AH, I'll go back to enchanting.
Also, what's the point in taking enchanting (as a money source) below high lvls? The world is full of low lvl enchanters trying to skill up---free enchants all day long. If you do it, you'll be disappointed. Take it for your own enchants if you want. Also, you'll need to score some good drop forms that people want.
At least with skinning you get material--at no cost--that you can vend for cash or sell on AH (depending on item).

Making alot of money enchanting is HARD
I took up enchanting at like level 30 on my hunter and leveled it up to 300 pre BC. I had the good stuff (15 agil 25 agil 22 intel crusader lifestealing 15 agil to gloves) and yet i think i spend more money leveling it. Now im sitting at 320 and I refuse to spend money leveling it. ITs going to be tailor some stuff, DE it, enchant my gear with the same oranges over and over till 375 in each.

Well, I'd keep skinning - cos that's an earner. Especially in outland - 4g each for clefthide leather, 20g for a stack of knothide.

Enchanting is expensive to level up and there is not much money to be had along teh way: there are simply too many dumbarses giving way enchants.
However you make a lot of gold from disenchanting. My level has been high 200's for a long time and only gets leveled up when there is a chant I need for me or my alts but it is high enough to DE anything that can be DE'ed.
For me, its utility is the ability to get extra boosts for myself and to make some gold along the way.
