In the ironforge area?

I am at level 40...

Forgot to say, I am a dwarf hunter, if that makes any difference.

Found it, amberstill Ranch!

Indeed; Dwarves have the hardest time finding their mount seller.

ORly DM? I see far more confused humans trying to remember where the heck they saw horsies for sale.

Actually, it took me a minute or two to work out where to get a mount for my undead priest, also- /gasp.. Slightly more shamefully, I forgot again when it was time for her epic mount. Guess I'm just special.

I've just hit level 40 and still 45g off getting my first mount :embarassed:

I've given up worrying and am just going to stick 2 talent points into improved Aspect of the Cheetah as 1g respeccing later isn't going to be much of an issue.

Sorry, not really related, just wanted to share my pain.

Aww, /pat. Maybe take up herbalism quickly? My shammy dropped jewelcrafting for herbalism, and maxed it quickly. I made about 200g from the 1-250 or so skill level herbs that I picked and sold, which I did in one evening (finished it off the next day, though you probably couldn't do the last part at lv 45). Hell, I even picked them in ghost wolf form, to avoid delay getting on and off my mount, which isn't so different from AoTC.

The trick is to hit the zone with herbs of the right level, and run circuits picking them all until you stop getting skillups, and then move one. You'd be amazed what relatively low-level stuff like stranglekept and swiftthistle sells for.

Yes Moopy, Humans at least have a good chance to see the horses for sale when they are levelling up.

Amberstill Ranch does have an lvl 10 group quest that starts there, but not many do it. The Ranch is not really close to Kargarth, it's off of the road somewhere between IF and Loch Modan and it's unlikely that you'd stumble across it.

I've been grinding up Skinning/Leatherworking which is a money-sink I realise. No one buys anything made by LW, even the blues would sell for much less than the components would cost. Still, on my first ever character having hit 226 LW and skinning is up to about 270 I'd be loathe to drop either to take up something else. I do like herb/alchemy though.

I get frustrated with the AH as well, I get stuff I think would sell like hotcakes (I've got a 2h mace with +32 AP that I can't get rid of, and + frost/fire damage I think would get snapped up expires). Mine's one of the new servers so I'm not sure how much basic components will actually sell for, I think as there's a lot more even level spread (rather than 95% server lvl 60-70) so less uber rich high levels buying stuff at inflated prices.

I should have made my pally my main - free hoss ftw

/apologises for wandering well and truly OT
