Create Mithril Spurs to lvl BS to 225-235???

Hey all. Hope I get some good feedback and/or help with my current situation. I'm following a lvling guide for Blacksmithing and I'm at the point where I need to buy mithril spur plans...

I haven't seen these plans on AH for over a week and when I did about a week and a half ago they were 50G!!! What the heck...

I'm a warrior and money isn't that hard to come by but 50G just to get 20 skill points??? I know mitril spurs can be sold on AH for a profit but not if I bought the plans for 50g - it would take me forever to gain profit...

So here's my question. Is there anything else other than mithril spurs that will be easy to get those 20 skill points??? I have enough dense stone for the dense grinding stone part and enough mitril to get all the way to 300 skill.

I'm tired of not being able to lvl my BS because this guide calls only for mitril spurs.

Mithril Spurs are supposed to take you from 250-275. Not sure what guide you are following, but reread it or find another. Wait till you have to lvl 275-300 on thorium helms. Takes almost 500 thorium bars and on my server they're going for 2g/bar.

if your 225 you should either be doing the armour or weapon quests that will build your skills up.the only probs i had was from 270-300 as i9 make loads of armour for guild members therewas little point in following the guides. i take it youve looked in the auction house for plans that req your lvl in bs so you can make them to get some points with
